QUOTE(ayonan @ Jul 24 2013, 02:21 AM) I've seen worse(as in my original attempts). Some advice though, you usually want to use silver on sharp edges to give the appearance of scrapped off paint. Here's a WIP of something i've been working on to give you an example:![]() Now i'm also using red iron oxide paint to give the appearance of rust since i'm going for an old abandoned look, but hopefully you see what I mean. I see it. Thanks for the tips. Kinda hard to do since this is 1/144 scale. So little. And what paint do you using? I'm using, well don't laugh. Permanent ink for marker. Th one in bottle. Quickly dry tho.

The "rust" is red iron oxide. The silver and black is just a gundam marker that i'm applying with a dry brush.

QUOTE(ayonan @ Jul 24 2013, 05:49 AM) New to collecting gunpla(not really). I don't know if this is the right thread to post & ask. If no, I'm sorry. Probably everyone has their own MUST have list. Here my story. I collect gundam when I was in school. During that time, I manage to turn my best friend to gundam lover. Well, since I still in school, only afford to buy after raya. Collected about 10 gundam action figure. When I was 16, I entered boarding school. Stay there for 3 months without going back home. When I come back home, all gundam broken. My niece and nephew. :'( It's been years. 10 years maybe. Remember my best friend? A few months ago, he give me this third party gundam model. Try to assemble. Just like vanPersie said, the little boy in me screamed to collect gundam back. Been collecting since then. Only got like 12 for now. All 1/144. I don't like big toys. Now, for the question. What gundam I MUST HAVE in my collection? And I only collect 1/144 scale, well for now. Like what gundam all gundam collector MUST HAVE? Thank you, and sorry if this is posted in wrong thread. Must Haves for 1/144: 1. Sinanju (articulate despite smaller size) 2. All Unicorn Gundam QUOTE(ayonan @ Jul 24 2013, 07:21 AM) Thank you. Just what I needed? Just bought a few kits from tytroum, awaiting parcel to arrive. His prices are competitive.Btw, where do you guys purchase your gundam? Me from gundam.my. I consider cheap there. No? QUOTE(ayonan @ Jul 24 2013, 12:51 PM) Hehe...good attempt though they look like the pemadam (eraser) we used during primary school. |
