It is unfortunate. Kia Korea just did not supply sufficient of the 2.0 not only to Malaysia market but worldwide. The demand for the Korean cars has increase tremendously so the color was less of an issue in this situation.
Here are some of news for those who like figures.
In July, Kia posted year-on-year sales increases in China, Korea and North America of 15.9% (40,794 units sold); 3.0% (41,500 units sold) and 1.5% (56,620 units sold), respectively. Meanwhile, July sales in General Markets* and Europe* decreased by 4.6% (43,342 units sold) and 0.6% (49,783 units sold), correspondingly. Cumulatively thus far in 2013, Kia’s global sales have increased by 2.5% year-on-year to reach 1,615,798 units.
Kia’s bestselling model in overseas markets for the month of July was the B-segment Rio (known as ‘K2′ in China) with 38,295 units sold. The Sportage compact CUV was the second best seller with 30,465 units delivered, while the C-segment Cerato (known as ‘Forte’ or ‘K3′ in some markets), Optima D-segment sedan and Sorento mid-size CUV followed with 30,171, 21,922 and 17,512 units sold, respectively.
