The jb kia saleman told me to install leather seat. They hv their kia authorized leather seat vendor. Anyone can confirm this storythat the jb kia saleman told me is correct? And who is their vendir?

Yes. Cerato is is semi ckd local assembly. But majority assembly still done at korea.

Just an advice. For those 1.6 owner who need to install leather seat cover, pls take note ur leather seat stitching need to comply with a global standard. There is a special airbag sewing machine and the side airbag stitching line is a special high strength line. This is to ensure airbag could be properly deployed without distortion. Pls do not simply find ah kaw or ah tan leather seat complany to do both of ur front seat cover. For ur safety, find a company that hv certificate to do that

There are couples of things not available in malaysia cerato as well, which i found and compared with my wife's cbu kia rio.
1- front passenser seat belt reminder not available in cerato
2- no auto wiper and rain sensor
3- halogen headlamp leveling not able to manual adjust in cerato.
4- cerato actually not yet tested by euro ncap yet and dun think it will test in euro ncap later. Only nhtsa and ANCAP result available. Rio score 5 star in euro ncap.

But those above mentioned not really so important for me. As long as got 6airbag, esc, is good enough. Comfort and power wise, cerato much better than rio....

Confirm dun have front passenger seat belt reminder. Only front passenger airbag on/off switch indicator ..... The indicator indicate if you hv tun on or off the airbag switch. If there is passenger seat beside you wothout buck up the seat belt, no reminder willinform u.

How come ur cerato has it? Can show me?

I wonder u have sound and indicator light? I also doubt u hv tested it by urself? Mine dun hv. Already tested with my friend. Manual say this feature is optional. So i confirm dun hv this in cerato. Cerato only hv passenger airbag switch status.

What vin? Does it matter?

Confirm dun have la.... Only driver seat have reminder only. Front passenger seat dun have. I wonder those kia saleman really know about the details of cerato they are selling or not. Let all the owner here Try and take picture to show you...

Only front passenger airbag swicth indicator. No passenger seat belt reminder in cerato....

Cerato 1.6 sure enough to drive already la... Power better than my sister vios la... If concern on power, go for 2.0.

Mine changed to leather seat. Quarter nappa leather. Standard design as 2.0. But i use red stitching line. Old fabric seat cover dismantled and throw away already... New SRS airbag tag still there, the seat stitching compliant with SRS regulation (high strength stitch) where it would break when airbag deployed. The new leather seat fell much thicker than fabric

Total is RM1900, kia showroom manager give me 700 discount, so i only pay RM 1200 the rest to the shop, the manufacturer will charge to naza kia...

After change to quater nappa leather seat.

Never heard of cerato got good sound system.... The sound system not good at all. U go showroom test it then u will know. Should be brand ah kaw

f***ing hell naza kia red cube jb... I got my 1.6 car end of oct so i got nothing from them.. Just b4 i book the car, I keep asking but they did not want to discount... And told me no discount even year end... Then discount come after 2weeks later after i book my car.... f***, naza cannot trust lah!

I guess hac, dbc might not have. Even its stated in spec. Another thing is vsm, not sure anybody tried?

Need to update some info for k3. Cerato 1.6 did not come with DBC downhill brake control function. Some ppl complained naza cheating and naza had updated thier website but not sure about the brochure now.
