Well, that's the good thing about this place, to share experiences from all aspects and user types. I'm sure the inputs are appreciated smile.gif

Well, guess i am not a racer. Just average city driver. The fact i don't speed till 150 on 5th gear nor i reach and hold on 6k RPM during drive shows i am a light pedal presser. Normally within 4K RPM is basically my range, unless i wants to over take.

And Perror does have a point for some cars are powerful from 0-100km/h, and some are from 80-160km/h. Anyway, since i am not a tech guy or big fav fan of car tech, so i speak as a "car user" feel/experience only.

The idea is to get more power without increasing the engine size, hence maintaining the FC.
Naza already has the K3 2.0 in the lineup, so they really have to offer something different. A turbo engine really adds another sports dimension to the car rather than a conventional 2.0, wouldn't you agree?. Anyway 150K is just an estimation. It could well be below that figure, coupled with some discounts along the way, that will be the hope.

I think Veloster is not doing as well as it aspires to be due to its somewhat unconventional design of a rounded rear end. The Koup is totally different in the design department and will appeal to those looking for sports sedan. But then again, I don't expect Naza to sell this model in big volume and it will probably come in the form of CBU (fully imported). This model could just be something to excite the market and alleviate the KIA brand name.

Well, I think this is a good Publicity Stunt from KIA and perhaps showing to the world that they do have a 1.6l Turbo + Transmission to offer.

It would be interesting in the future if the K3 facelift is offered in a 1.6l turbo variant.
That would probably be the game plan for KIA in the future I think.

Basically I think our cars, the lower ranges between 1.5 to 3.5 is mainly for cruising whilst if you want to overtake or really get the most out of the engine, you'd have to take it beyond 4.5.

Another thing what I seem to have noticed is that there is some adaptation that happens as you drive. This may end up influencing your pick up or perceived pick up. My observations could be wrong, so if anyone else felt something else, do feel free to correct. What I can see is the car will relax it's throttle response after a long duration of constant driving and constant pattern. I.e if you drive down a highway for 2-3 hours, you'd find the car become somewhat lethargic. But nothing a restart can't sort out. My guess is that the ECM is adapting to driving conditions. This bit I noticed quite a few times.

Also for petrol, I found that if we intend to use RON 97, best to give it car a ECM reset. It helps it learn again from scratch. I found when I initially used RON 97, it gave me 540 KM, not much diff from 95. I did a TCM, ECM, BMS reset, numbers went right up to 600+ and real world range also increased. Just my 2 cents (with no GST) smile.gif

Very unlikely for Naza to introduce turbo engine for 1.6 K3 sedan facelift (if any in future) as that would increase the cost significantly and priced it beyond what people are willing to pay for an everyday/general use C-segment car. The Koup however is different as it caters to a specific segment of performance car, call it Fast and Furious generation if you'd like.

Personally, and from a sales perspective, I 'd like to see Naza bringing in a different version of the Rio Sedan (also known as K2 in China). This B-segment model would then be able to compete head on with City and Vios for market share, if priced competitively.

I'm using Meguiar's ultimate protectant for my dashboard and trim and black parts of the car i.e the rubber portions. It's good but quite challenging to use, but clearly a huge difference between areas that have had it applied and those that did not.

My car is over 1 year old and haven't had the need to polish. In general, unless there's a significant build up of gunk..tree sap etc, there should not be a need to polish it too quickly, maybe once a year or so if you feel the shine has deteriorated. To that end I'd normally do a clay on it rather than just polish.

If you are to polish it, bear in mind if would be taking a very thin layer of your clear coat with it. So you'd have to wax it right after. Don't just polish.

Thanks for the advice bro! Really appreciate! laugh.gif
My car done ecoat, so far 1 month+, washing on own. Is pretty easy to wash when you have coating. Only thing taking me longer time is the body kit side near tyre, got splashed with some liquid during heavy rain I suspect. It mixed with the grease on the road I think and when it dried its very hard to wash away using the car wash shampoo. In the end use the car polish and easily got clean. icon_idea.gif

You could be right, 3rd gear could hit up to 160 km/h as per spec and 5th could go close to 200km/h. Perhap that moment I eased down on my throttle pedal after finding the Polo could no way catch me up. What this says, Polo hatch is not a great performance car as claimed. Or maybe that driver is slow in action.

Depends which polo hatchback u talking about. If u are talking about the CkD 1.6 polo hatch then mayb u can beat him la because that engine is tuned to be fuel efficient and the gearbox is those normal gearbox hence the shifts are slower.

If ur talking about the 1.2 TSI hatch, i can say that he will smoke u left right center day in day out.

Absolutely no match at all for the 1.2 TSI whether its ur 1.6 or 2.0 cerato.

U r probably right that it was a ckd 1.6 hatchback Polo that i had beaten. But it's not supposed to as it is a smaller and lighter Germany car.
This reflects that Cerato 1.6 is not a sluggish, poor performance car as many might imagine because of its size and being Korean built. Somemore it has many hightech and safety features plus stylish look and comfort that many costlier cars that do not have.
The 5th and 6th gears are good for gliding and mainly for fuel economy I believe.

that is normal..most probably because your car is stopped on the gearbox parking pawl..to prevent this u can try pulling the hand brake fully tight to prevent the car rolling backward/forward and stopped on the gearbox parking pawl..
