How is it "enhanced"? It's a petrol branded card with an incredibly low cashback capping for petrol. Crazy!

This month RHb have many system issues. Even the RHB Smart Account interest was credited much later than promised

Did my last TnG eWallet reload pin purchase at Shell today.

Over the years, I've gotten back around RM3k to RM4k in basic cashback from the RHB Shell Visa card.

RIP.

So far RHB said 22nd, 24th, 26th cycle kena no cash back

I guess they want you to be a card holder longer since most will cancel due to the lousy cash back

Mine is 24th and I got cashback...

LMAO that is a first. Surely it didn't make sense that a petrol-branded card's largest benefit was foreign/travel spending. Which smart fellow in RHB came up with such nonsense.

Sometimes I curious some people willing to waste time planning expense and spend thousand of ringgit just for 50-80 cashback. Is it really worth the effort.
*
I mean you do your planning once, then month by month it becomes second nature. Obviously, it makes most sense if the spending is based on your organic spending. You don't simply change or increase your spending habits to maximize cashback. If you do that, you've lost.

RHB send me notification that the missing cashback will be credited by xx date.

However, I do not have any missing cashback. They probably blast it to all customers. Unnecessary confusion.

Yes. They are the worst bank when it comes to CC application. And you need to manually collect from branch once approved.

Worst bank for limit increase too

One thing I don’t understand is, why put 5% for groceries, local spend, e-wallet when it will never achieve 5% since it’s capped at RM10? Isn’t that misleading or my understanding is wrong?
*
It is misleading and I would urge you to complain to BNM too. It’s like shitty Shopee coupons, 95% off capped at RM1

i think they learn from overseas bank like SC.
they always doing this,
for eg min spend RM2.5k to get 15% CB but cap RM40.

somehow is a grey area.
*
That is not so bad, even previous RHB Shell got minimum spend qualifier.

The updated card now also has minimum spend qualifier PER CATEGORY, which is the issue

Guys, RHB has a MAJOR SYSTEM ISSUE!!!

I spent only RM55 on Petrol before 7th of Sep. This is because I couldn't go to my preferred station in time to buy the TnG reload pins.

Then I spend RM250 after the 7th of Sep to maximize the "new version" cashback for Petrol.

In total, I got just one posting for Petrol: CASHBACK PETROL MYR 36.60

At the same time, by the 7th of Sep, my spend was below RM2.5k, so I shouldn't be getting 12% cashback for my RM55 transaction, based on their T&Cs.

Looks like the configutation is still based on the OLD system, not new system. What a collosal mess-up from RHB.

Not to mention missing online cashback for the new methodology.

Wouldn't you only have gotten RM36.6 cashback for petrol (since its 12%)? Where did RM50 come from?
*
You are right, RM50 is for the BONUS category. Let me correct it. I had RM36.60 in mind but copied the wrong figure.

In that case I don't see any issue.

The RM2.5k is not from 8 Sep, it is 'statement amount' on your statement date (which I assume is 3k).

The transactions under old system are from before 8 Sep, but the qualification (minimum spend) is only calculated on the statement date (otherwise you'd get ridiculous stuff like the first 2.5k of spend do not get 12% because you haven't hit the limit at time of spend).
*
In their example, it was explicitly stated that you had to hit the RM2.5k before the cutoff date. Maybe I am mis-remembering.
