u can use throttle stop to control cpu and temperature when necessary.

Finally, u manage to switch to single gpu mode for Y510p SLI model. Its a mobility gaming powerhouse.
 Y510p SLI model has a special feature removable swappable ultrabay gpu and ODD which all other gaming laptops don't have. u can swap in ODD and carry lighter 120w adapter when u need mobility, lower temperature and longer battery life. Swap in ultrabay gpu and use 170w adapter when u need dual gpus gaming powerhouse at home. (GT750m SLI=GTX770m on average according to notebookcheck review). u just need to switch it to single gpu/Intel HD4600 mode or dual gpus mode according to ur usage.
