Y510p with Haswell core i7 & Nvidia optimus enable for longer battery life/lower temperature and probably higher clock GT755m(GDDR5) compare to Y500. screen probably the same.
Why not u wait for Y510p as it might come out earlier according to Devour.

Golden rule of waiting game: Buy when u really need it, wait if u are not in hurry.

Alternatively, u can consider the best bang for the buck for video/ photo editing and gaming.

NGFF SSD(next generation form factor) still very new in the market.

Alternatively, u can get normal 2.5" SSD and swap it with HDD. Get the 9.5mm caddy bay for HDD and swap it with ODD. use the ODD as external drive with USB to SATA cable.

Good news for many awaiting buyers after the long long waiting.

Its going to sell like hot cake, pre-order earlier to avoid disappoinment.

Do we need to reuse back the side and front panel of ODD for caddy bay?

u might need to keep more stock of caddy bay for Y510p/Y410p since it only come with m2. NGFF slot.
