Chances are very slim since the Y510p SLI model will be available. sad.gif

Alternatively, u can get it from Y500/Y510p SLI users who wish to sell their swappable GT750m + 170w adapter. smile.gif

<insert new Y series name here> with new Haswell core i7-4700MQ + GT750m(GDDR5) and longer battery life with optimus in MY.

Can anyone mind to share that, what is the meaning of battery life with optimus? what is optimus? sleep.gif
*
Y510p/Y410p can swap the gpu to Intel HD4600 with Nvidia optimus for longer battery life and lower temperature. thumbup.gif
Its also pair with Haswell core i7-4700MQ which is more power efficiency. smile.gif

thought can add extra m.2 ngff when it release in the market  cry.gif
got to sacrifice the 1TB HDD
*
A better way is to sacrifice the useless optical drive and retain the 1TB HDD. smile.gif

Get a normal 2.5" SSD with larger capacity and swap it with HDD. Get the 9.5mm compatible caddy bay for HDD and swap it with ODD. use the ODD as external drive with USB to SATA cable.

Here the pics and installation details in Chinese website for Y510p/Y410p:
Compatible caddy bay for Y510p: ie. JEYI H123

You sure they give a free ODD? I did not see it on the unboxong of the Y510P on youtube. And two adapters? If I use the 170W adapter to charge the laptop without the second GC, will it be faster?
*
Yeap, extra swappable ODD in separate box and two adapters. use 170w adapter for SLI gaming. smile.gif

Probably the high end Y510p SLI model can use the m2 SSD, but its too new and difficult to find in the market.
Its not a big issues as we can use the normal 2.5" SSD with bigger capacity. smile.gif

I've been going through some online reviews for both the Y500 & Y510P.
I noticed that the Y510P has a shorter battery runtime (2h 49min) compared to the Y500 (4h 04min) atiIdle (without WLAN, min brightness).
1hr in difference. geramnya. I thought Haswell supposed to be more energy efficient that Ivybridge?
Also no turbo boost enabled for Y510P. Dono if this can be solved via software update later.
Apart from that, I like the Y510P.
*
Y510p should has longer battery life with optimus enabled and more power efficient Haswell proc. compare to Y500. smile.gif
In notebookcheck review, Y510p SLI model shown shorter battery runtime since it spec with lower capacity battery and test with SLI enabled (optimus disabled).

u can OC the haswell proc if needed. brows.gif

Thanks. notworthy.gif
For those with Y510p, remember to choose auto select in Nvidia contro panel and power saver in power management to maximize battery runtime as per below step. thumbup.gif

In Lenovo power management, change power plan to
- high performance for max performance with shortest battery runtime
- balanced performance for average performance/ battery runtime
- power saver for min performance with longer battery runtime

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

In Nvidia control panel > manage 3d settings > Global settings >preferred graphics processor and choose
- high performance to enable discrete graphic card (ie GT750m) for max gaming performance
- integrated graphics ( Intel HD4600 )
- auto-select (enable Nvidia optimus for auto switching of GPUs for longer battery life)
