Pls double check the Y510p part No. as stated in post#1 written on the box to ensure its official local set and not oversea set (AP set).

Chances are very slim since the Y510p SLI model will be available.

Alternatively, u can get it from Y500/Y510p SLI users who wish to sell their swappable GT750m + 170w adapter.

storm88 & hikari85 are selling the official local set with 2 yrs limited international warranty.
Do check with them for more details.

Y510p/Y410p can swap the gpu to Intel HD4600 with Nvidia optimus for longer battery life and lower temperature.
Its also pair with Haswell core i7-4700MQ which is more power efficiency.

If any of ur friend wish to buy Y510p single gpu, persuade them to buy Y510p SLI model and get it from them.

Good news and great effort.
Wish more resellers will persuade Lenovo to bring it to us.

Y510p/Y500 feature optional swappable ultrabay gpu (GT750m) but not available, haizzz to many potential buyers.

iirmc, when SLI disable, IGPU enable. When SLI enable, IGPU disable. only applicable for Y510p.

Upgrade RAM will not void the warranty for Y510p. Pls use the same spec of RAM for dual channel to improve performance.

Check it out at garage sales. u can get very attractive promotional package for upcoming pikom pc fairs & merdeka sales.

u can check the box identification as stated in post #2 to make sure its local set before u pay for it.

A better way is to sacrifice the useless optical drive and retain the 1TB HDD.

Get a normal 2.5" SSD with larger capacity and swap it with HDD. Get the 9.5mm compatible caddy bay for HDD and swap it with ODD. use the ODD as external drive with USB to SATA cable.

u can get the 9.5mm caddy bay kit from skycrawler or storm88.
Pls double check with resellers to ensure its compatible for Y510p/Y410p.

Yeap, extra swappable ODD in separate box and two adapters. use 170w adapter for SLI gaming.

Probably the high end Y510p SLI model can use the m2 SSD, but its too new and difficult to find in the market.
Its not a big issues as we can use the normal 2.5" SSD with bigger capacity.

Y510p should has longer battery life with optimus enabled and more power efficient Haswell proc. compare to Y500.
In notebookcheck review, Y510p SLI model shown shorter battery runtime since it spec with lower capacity battery and test with SLI enabled (optimus disabled).

u can OC the haswell proc if needed.

u need to disable SLI and enable optimus to enjoy longer battery life for SLI model.

Yeap, Y510p should has longer battery life with optimus enabled.

Any user of Y510p with single gpu.
can u post screen dump for GPUZ of intel HD4600 and GT750m of Y510p with single gpu. TQ.
are u using Intel HD and power saver mode for longer battery runtime.

For those with Y510p, remember to choose auto select in Nvidia contro panel and power saver in power management to maximize battery runtime as per below step.

In Lenovo power management, change power plan to
- high performance for max performance with shortest battery runtime
- balanced performance for average performance/ battery runtime
- power saver for min performance with longer battery runtime



In Nvidia control panel > manage 3d settings > Global settings >preferred graphics processor and choose
- high performance to enable discrete graphic card (ie GT750m) for max gaming performance
- integrated graphics ( Intel HD4600 )
- auto-select (enable Nvidia optimus for auto switching of GPUs for longer battery life)
