Anyways, just wanna ask. Any user of Y500 or the like with GT750M SLI have tried the latest Nvidia beta driver? (331.40 BETA)... Someone on the GeForce forums with GT755M SLI tried it but it gave his laptop some boot-up probs. Anyone who had tried the driver please tell me how's it going for you. Thanks!

Anyways, for anyone looking to buy laptops (and saw this forum post), I really recommend you to buy Lenovo laptops! Bought my baby Y500 SLI GT750M 6 months ago, works like a charm!

Just a little more review... I brought this laptop of mine to college and played a few rounds of PES with my friends. Some of them uses keyboard to play while I'm using a gamepad. I was worried sick whenever they play using keyboard. They're like... SMASHING on each buttons LOL, but luckily my keyboard still functions well..

As for each hardware of my laptop, speaker quality remains the same: BADASS!! (Although I'm quite used to it by now, so yeah... Loud music destroys your ears :3 )

Touchpad remains good. Camera remains good.

The only problem for me now is the graphic card, but this is not because of faulty hardware, but simply unstable graphic card drivers. (Currently using 327.23, quite ok but randomly causes GHOSTING effect in PES, flickers in old games, etc..)

Overall, my baby is still in top-notch condition even months after buying it with hard-core use.. I love my baby!!!

i suppose so.. back in my college, i've got a friend with an MSI laptop... It had a GTX660M graphic card, 15.6 inch 1920x1080 FHD display, 8gb ram, 1 tb hdd, all the same like mine except for the graphic card.... and he bought that thing around rm6k... Mine could run most games smoother than his, and i paid only rm3.9k for it.... his face was priceless xD

most probably no, since ultrabay GT750m for Y410p/GT750m and Y400/GT750m might not compatible due to VBIOS.
Do double check with resellers.
Wonder where u get ultrabay GT750m for Y410p, it seems no where to be found.
The safer way is to get ultrabay GT750m for Y500/GT750m and mod it for Y400/GT750m.

I just bought the lenovo y500 last week, but when i check my base warranty starts date, it shows 2013-05-26... Does that mean I got duped into buying a resale unit... or is it normal?? I've just send an application for the 2 years local warranty today btw..
