the grille below the y510p seems to suck up quite some dust. what's the best way to remove them? haha..vacuum?

Excuse me, I would like to ask that will the warranty void if I upgrade my Y510P ram at the local reseller store? And how much is the different between 16GB ram vs 8GB ram? Currently using stock 8GB ram but plan to upgrade to 16GB ram, is it worth for the money?

Let me share my experience, my y510p cannot compatible with y500 gpu even it GT750M..im already try it and got reseller told me that their customer don't have the problem when using y500 gpu so im not really sure about this either y510p can use or not the y500 gpu..

Now im using y510p ultrabay gpu and it's work perfect..thought my laptop problem lor when it cannot detect the y500 gpu last time..haha sgt takut maa..

Hmm, what you mean is swap my 1TB HDD to SSD? I am a IT newbie and I don't know how to DIY it.

They claim they have 1 year international warranty. But they are not.
They selling US set.. I forgot to check this forum before buy it..

They just ask me to buy new webcam and refuse to repair or change my laptop..

The reseller should say US/AP set will have problem when comes to warranty claiming eventhough it have 1 year international warranty..

If they say it.. It is ok with me.. But they don't mention it...

if you don't mind forking out $180, I suggest sent back to lowyat SC and let them fix it for you.

I have my SSD install by them and they load back windows 8 and the one key recovery.

attach is the screen shot of the recovery partition done by them.

I don't have the chance to try out the recovery function yet but I manage to load into the software to perform recover if I want, so there should not be any issue as long the partition is maintain at your disk.

regarding the caddy bay, there are many external parties which work well but I have yet try on my Y500, but I came to know that Lenovo shop in Digital Mall do sell the caddy bay only specifically for Y series notebook for $150 but have order from them and could take months, order mine already from them.

Its a great price with its spec...i just frustrated with their false advertising...really looking forward to get GT750 ultrabay...

for sure nobody exactly know when the stock will coming...a week, a month or mybe a few month...better find other brand that have ready stock..

a bit sad that the unit they took in doesn't have the ngff slot..
if you want it to run cooler the only i can suggest is running on battery saver mode and use intergrated graphic setting instead of auto detect in nvidia control panel..
