I beg to differ...

"We have stop selling land owned by Cyberview and we want to be more strategic, we are rebranding to be a global technology hub…attracting more multinational companies, high-tech companies,” he added."

Taken from previous post

My understanding of this statement is that property development has deemed fail in Cyberjaya till the extent the need for them to change the direction of their path. Probably moving forward in trying to attract MNC to set up in Cyberjaya in order to attract people to seek job there and migrate..

This isnt easy to achieve lo given the fact that KL is still the centre of commercialism and international trade, and with many MEGA projects developing in KL focusing of office strata, i would think these MNC would rather set up their offices in KL rather than Cyberjaya.

2nd point to point out..Connectivity

With upcoming MRT predicted to connect to Cyberjaya via Putrajaya..and lets us fast forward to the future with good awesome connectivity linking KL and Cyberjaya..

Yes it would be good in a way for Cyberjaya, but at the same time dont you think good connectivity will be like a double edge sword to Cyberjaya..

Good connectivity would also mean better opportunity for people there to emigrate out of Cyberjaya..and why would people migrate to Cyberjaya if the connectivity is good..people would just drive there to work or probably take the MRT there and walk to their offices..

Which ultimately lead to slow population growth and this is bad for commercialism..

Once Dpulze mall, Gem in Mall completed, itscan also be the other way around...ppl working from outside area will come back to CYberjaya as a place to stay...

i have a few prospect tenant that doesnt even work in CYber, some of them work in KLIA, Putrajaya, that wants to stay around this area...

IC..yeah i get your points..Spillover effect from those areas..
Previous feedback from my friends working there are horrible, but with the upcoming Dpulze things might change probably.

I stay & work in PJ/KL. I've just booked a landed in Cyberjaya 3 weeks ago. Why? Coz i think of my future. I'm close to 40. I dont want to live in a gridlock city anymore. I prefer quality of life. MRT or no MRT, doesnt matter to me but with MRT, people would definitely live in cyberjaya & travel to work.

There are so many big players (SP Setia, UEMS, IJM, Sime Darby, Mah Sing, Emkay, Paramount, EcoWorld) developing down south. They cant be all stupid & wrong. Bangi, Semenyih, Cyberjaya, Nilai & Seremban. Out of all these area, cyberjaya is a preferred choice for mid upper income group for various reason such as safety, nice environment, established infra, types of society and unique housing products.

As of you point of why Cyberview stop giving out housing development, you have to understand how a township work. It has to strike a balance between residential & housing units. I believe the master developer has studied the mix and at current stage, the residential percentage is high enough and it's time for other type of components to come in to make the township sustainable.

Just my 2 cents of opinions..... cheers

Cyber is like bdr seri bagawan. Clean, quiet, nice landscape and wider road. Really doesnt sound like staying in malaysia. A good place for own stay

That's what i prefer cyberjaya.. yes..now still lack Of stay and play.. but
Give 5 years 7 years..it will be a sustainable township..

If kajang bangi semenyih can..why cyberjaya canot?

A well plan city With world class infra and managable town..i found no way cyberjaya will be fail..

Just the matter kf time.be patient

Agree Agree, those are developers from the top leagues, what about those smaller one, they are also developing smaller residential projects in Cbj too. they won't risk their ass if they dont' see a potential right?

why would someone want to waste unnecessary 30 minutes to 1 hour on the road every day? it s a hell alot of time wasted if you put all all that into one year.

Not only those safety and nice environment, but many never realised Putrajaya and Cyberjaya are well-planned cities. Setia Haruman wants to keep the land because they see a huge potential in the future - saving the best for the last, they hope they can commercialise it further. - look at CCC,

There are agents we know from Mt Kiara have already bought Cyberjaya and bringing expat into the Cbj too

Work, stay, play, study - main four components of developing cyber.
Work - no doubt this component is in good shape now but still can bring it to another higher level prior to launching CCC.

Stay - so many high end residential projects with varies concepts being developed to cater different demands. Obviously the supply is enough for next few years thus it make sense for cyberview not to sell anymore lands to private sectors for residential purpose.

Play - 3 years ago is absolutely zero. But now there is massage centre and karaoke inside SS. D Pulze mall although delay but construction works are nearly completed. Just a matter of time when to open in next few months. Centrus CBD 3 - construction works nearly completed and has started adv to look for tenants in Q1 2015. Another matter of time when to open. IOI resort mall - the size that is bigger than mid valley. Opening in nov and it's only 10mins driving time from cyber! Hey, 10 mins only what... Big factor to boost the "play" factor for prop in cyber. Sky park - opening in 2017. The GEM mall - from the facade looks completed. Don't know what's the developer plan to establish this mall? Maybe a giant? Mini tesco? Dun know but it's a matter of time also for opening.
F&B in cyber? Last time were mamak and limited choices but now too many that ppl being pampered.

Study - LKW, MMU, CUCMS, colleges etc. no need to further explain. SRJK C Union - 60% of the fund collected. Opening in 2017.

Conclusion - nobody knows when can cyber be mature.
But, looking at the progress for last 2 years. More and more ppl changing their perception on cyber. Ppl moving in slowly. Crowd starts to be seen in F&B area. More F&B opening compare 3 years ago.. Just a matter of time to be vibrant and livable. Once all In place, it doesn't make sense for cyber workers not to stay inside and choosing traveling in jam for hours. Besides, the spill over effect from
Puchong, SK and non cyber workers (ppl like us working in KLCC area), 20 mins drive w/o jam via MEX will not hesitate to move in. The potential of cyber is great however how long it takes to be mature - nobody knows but it will be too late to buy once you seen the effect especially landed prop!

given time cyberjaya will definitely progress since its a planned township after all...
speed and extent of development wise, that would be a good question to look at and ponder in the future..

true..there are lots of under-declare millionaires, but there are alot of people earning below par too..
fraction wise...its not a great number to be proud of..
at the rate things going on now, becoming a millionaire (by own effort) definitely be more difficult especially for new graduates...
