Whatlah your question about the bus. This is Japan ok!! not Malaysia. Definitely the buses, trains & public transportation are way efficient than Malaysia. You should know already.

Aiyoh!! pls do more homework before you ask. JR Pass cannot be purchase in Japan because it is solely for tourist. Even Japanese living in Japan are not entitle for JR Pass. They have different type of pass & u must know which one suit your trip. You must buy in the country where you residing. Buy from their appointed agency. In Malaysia so many agent selling JR Pass. You can get it from Japan Travel Bureau. They have office in KL and Penang.
7 days Japan Rail Pass for the whole Japan is JPY28,300. 1 Day JR West Rail Pass for Kansai area is JPY2000. 5 days JR East Rail Pass is JPY20,000. So you must know how many days you will be staying in Japan & which area. Hikari are the 2nd fastest train after Nozomi. The difference between Hikari & Kodama are the Hikari are faster than Kodama & also less stop whereas Kodama got several stop along the way. QUOTE(BlackPen @ Aug 16 2013, 10:19 PM) |

How many days is your trip?? What is your plan in Tokyo? You can use JR Pass to Hakone too. So if you want to buy the 7 days pass, make sure you must full utilize it while you are in Tokyo or Osaka other wise it will be a waste. Myself, I have Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka & day trip to Nagoya so it is worth to buy 7 days pass.
QUOTE(BlackPen @ Aug 16 2013, 11:01 PM) Alright...Thanks for your information My girlfriends plan after arrive to Osaka direct take bullet train direct to Tokyo. From Tokyo start point play until Osaka end point total stay 7 days. I personally think that 7 days JR pass because can use unlimited ride just have some exceptions. -Can't take Nozomi trains -Can't take Mizuho trains -JR trains using non-JR tracks -Night trains, are not fully covered by the Japan Rail Pass -The pass is not valid on any highway buses correct me if I'm wrong |

If I am not mistaken Tokyo have more JR bus. But I haven't finish my research yet. I'm still compiling on transporation in Hiroshima, Kyoto & Osaka in the city bus. I think in Kyoto they prefer to use tram & bus but not sure if is JR bus or not.

I see. Can I confirm with you about the ferry to Miyajima?? I read that they are ferries to Miyajima cover by JR. If is true, I want to use it because mine is 7 days pass. Would like to utilize it.
QUOTE(RegentCid @ Aug 17 2013, 12:58 AM) Hiroshima no need study on bus route....The City are fully cover by Hiroden. Hiroden not cover by JR rail Pass. You just need another pass that including Miyajima Island + ferry + hiroden This post has been edited by Listiani: Aug 17 2013, 11:18 AM |

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ Aug 18 2013, 11:37 PM) I would like to know if there's any travel agency that actually arrange a 4-5 days tour which they only handle the flight, transport and the hotel for u, basically just pick u up when u reach tokyo and send u to the hotel u choose, letting u travel urself during those period and pick u up again to the airport? |
