Well for me RM50 a day is more than enuf to cover travel(petrol), and loads of food in kl.

Fugu luxury sashimi meal.  RM 1800 per head.    100000Yen not even enough for 2 person as Dinner

Let said if we go Disneyland or Universal  Studio, is that this 2 area already spend 1whole day ?? We still have extra time to spend in other places??

well this is the same procedure when I travel to Nepal during n years ago.. I assume it is all the same for visa free country... LOL My bad sorry~

i will have ard 20 days from 13 Jan -1 Feb 2014,below are my suggested itinerary.

2-3nights niigata,
3nights tokyo,
2nights hakone
3nights kyoto,
4nights osaka (day trip to nara, day trip to Himeji)
2nights hiroshima
3nights tokyo

Would appreciate if anyone would be able to improvise the itinerary/things to do/see/eat (no pork as i am Muslim)

Hey need advice on Tokyo rail pass.
I will be in tokyo for 12 days, and will only be going around tokyo.
I will be arriving at Narita and staying at Asakusa.
From what I understand, I can take Toei Asakusa Line from airport to asakusa.

Which pass should I buy? I checked out JREast webpage they have either one or three day pass. Am I checking the right place?

I also checked out JR Rail Pass 14 days for 45,100 YEN is this the one I should get? cos Im only travelling in tokyo area.

Hi people I've been following this forum just in case I'll be going to Japan.I really enjoyed the senior members' explanation and answers throughout this forum.
This 30th Ill be heading out to Japan (from KL to KIX) for about a week.Since this is my first time going to Japan,I wanna go to the mainstream places first. The cities that I'll be visiting would be Osaka and Tokyo.I haven't done my itinerary yet,can any of the senior members suggest to me where and what are the best places that I should  visit?

Hello. Wanna ask something cuz going to japan on 9th january. First wanna ask should I buy winter apparels here or just buy them in japan? Are the foods/drinks in the vending machines halal? Not too strict on eating though just wanna know . First time going overseas so still a newbie x.x

1-Depart back to KL
I would appreciate any SIFU advise on:

a)I will be using Osaka as a base to go to Kyoto, Kobe, Nara. I am wondering is it worth to spent 1N/2N in Kyoto?

b)From Hiroshima I plan to go to Miyajima Island. Is it worth going on winter?

c)I will be using Fukuoka as a base in Kyushu Province. Are there any places worth going besides Nagasaki &Beppu. For the record in Fukuoka ,I have been to Fukuoka Tower only.
d)As I will be reaching quite late to Hakone from Fukuoka (4pm )      I will lose out one day in Hakone which is why I am allocating 2 nights in Hakone.

-I am planning to go MT Fuji (worth going on winter?) and what is the distance from Hakone? Do we have to take a bus or train to get there?

-Would anyone  be able to recommend any affordable Ryokan with Onsen in Hakone? My budget is around 60/70 USD per night.

-Is the Gotemba Factory Outlet in Hakone worth going as well?

e)As for Tokyo, I would like to mix my accommodation between hotel/hostel with Ryokan. Does anyone experienced /heard that you would like to recommend ?

-It is NOT my first time to Japan. I have been to Disneyland,  Nagoya (Nagoya Castle), Fukuoka (Fukuoka Tower) & Osaka (Osaka Castle/Sakura)but I have not been to Kyoto/Nara/Kobe
-I have purchased the JR Nationwide Rail Pass for 21 days in Kuala Lumpur

-My focus is on Sightseeing/Culture/Food/Heritage/Island and a bit of nightlife

-I will be travelling alone.
