Is it convenient to travel from Tokyo to Hakone carrying a luggage?
I did some research and found out the Hakone-Tozan Line Route covers Shinjuku to Hakone.

So at this point I'm guessing I need to travel to Shinjuku to take the train. Anyone have a better suggestion?

Also, the first page of this thread mentioned there is a free pass but when I click on that link, doesn't give much info. Hmm...
*
buy the hakone free pass for 3 days , if i'm not mistaken only 5k+ yen which allow u use odakyu line for free, buses, cable car, all included. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2358_008.html From Shinjuku to Hokane, you can choose to pay extra $ to get into the romance car http://www.odakyu.jp/english/romancecar/

Should i fly directly to Kansai International instead of haneda airport?

Since i plan 4 days in tokyo and 3 days in osaka.

At least it will be in morning (kansai) when i reach there instead of midnight if choose fly to haneda airport.

Hi !
Thank u for the kind suggestion. 3D2N can cover Kawaguchiko also? Won't be too rush and tiring right?
Looks like Kawaguchiko can get very nice view of Mt. Fuji.

I have a few question regarding student visa:

1. My passport will expire in Nov 2014 and I am going to Japan to study in Sept 2013. Will I get a 2 year student visa?

2. After I renew my passport, how do I transfer my student visa to new passport? Or do I need to reapply?
*
1. They will only issued 1 yr student visa at the beginning. As long as you have more than 6 months period before your passport expire when you enter Japan with your student visa, there should be no problem.

2. No need to re-apply or transfer the student visa to the new passport. Just present the old passport with your student visa on it together with your new passport when you leave or re-enter Japan.

But for your case, you can renew your passport before Sept 2014 then renew your student visa before it expired in Sept 2014 with your new passport.
