If both Suarez and Caroll left this summer, I really wanted to see Borini as the CF, and both Aspass and Sturridge play at the right and left...
Borini played very well in the Italy U21 as a CF, while when he is in Liverpool, BR always put him at the flank there, which I think he can't really perform very well. I still believe he is a natural CF and goal poacher. |

QUOTE Suarez is then questioned as to whether he would like to play for Real Madrid: “A player always aspires to be at the top of their profession and Madrid is at the top for any football player. But, do you know what it is like to play for Liverpool?” https://www.facebook.com/EmpireOfTheKopYNWA...677439108938046The Uruguayan continues and gives very mixed messages: “It disturbs me that Liverpool are not in the Champions League every season. I’ve suffered at Liverpool, but when I think of what it represents to play for this club, & the love my daughter has… she sings the hymn… The hairs on my neck stand up when I play at Anfield.” Finally, Luis Suarez talks about that bite on Branislav Ivanovic, that rocked English football: “How much can one bite sully all the goals I’ve scored? … If people knew the stuff that happens to me on the pitch, the kicks, the insults, they wouldn’t judge me. I could write a book on it.” |

Every few days Suarez is playing the come and get me card. So sick and tired of his antics. BR need to offload him. Distracting to the team.

QUOTE Ian Ayre cancels trip to economics conference to complete Henrikh Mkhitaryan deal Liverpool Managing Director Ian Ayre has cancelled a trip to a conference in Brazil where he was due to discuss football economics in order to pursue the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to Bloomberg. Speculation linking Mkhitaryan with a move to Liverpool has increased over recent days, with the Reds hoping to tie up a deal for around £20million. The Armenian international midfielder scored 25 goals in the Ukranian Premier League last season for Shakhtar Donetsk and enjoyed lots of praise after solid performances in the Champions League. Bloomberg report: Ayre was scheduled to be on a panel at a conference in Rio de Janeiro tomorrow to discuss economic opportunities for soccer. Instead he’s staying in Europe to negotiate with three-time Armenian player of the year Mkhitaryan, 24, according to the person, who declined to be identified because the deal isn’t complete. Mkhitaryan would provide Brendan Rodgers’ attack with a fresh dynamic and superb close control. Liverpool are thought to be hoping the possible signing of Mkhitaryan will convince Luis Suarez to stay at Anfield. It seems no more (mere) grooming youngsters excuses or (supposedly) brooding 'british' players. Next season we are making serious assault. there are so many many reasons to be hopeful than to be wishful 'hope' for a next season. While there is still a gamble on new recruits, at least we aren't throwing hope over 'potential' yet to yield fruit until 4-5 seasons, at least we are taking care of short to mid term goals!! QUOTE(Yuka Yuka @ Jun 16 2013, 10:23 PM) is he worth 22m? I've never heard of him prior to Liverpool being linked with him He's not worth it if we pay more than 20mil for him. I like him but its a gamble. Liverpool's initial valuation of 13mil was reasonable but i dont think shaktar would budge. They just sold Fernadinho, Henrik's teammate at Shaktar to City for a fee around 30mil. That's ridiculous for a 28 year old. He looked like a classy playmaker though but 30 mil?just watched some youtube videos of him (yes i know) and looks like a pre-nurtured CR9. he's pretty fast too since ramires couldn't overtake him lol does he speak English? I don't see Y we can't sign him. - Every transfer is a "Gamble" - But as planned....He's BR No.1 Big Summer Signing. Terms @ Provided Caroll leaves foe 15.5mil "Will Announced He's Joining WH" - Does any1 know Alonso when he came here? Does any1 know Meirless when he came here? - That's how GOOD i rate him. - Hope we secure him ASAP as another CL club is interested. - Welcome Mkhitaryan....Yes! Finger Crossed! QUOTE(Chris Lam @ Jun 17 2013, 12:32 AM) Henrikh Mkhitaryan I know he scored 25 goals from midfield..BUT..Its the Ukraninan league and i have no idea how strong/competitive it is compared to the other big leagues. He also played for Shaktar the runaway champion..they were a very strong team compared to the rest of the competition. He was surrounded by decent players in a supposedly weaker league. But i really do not have much knowledge regarding him, shaktar and the Ukraine league. I hope you are right because he is the most exciting out of all the players that we are associated with. I'm just not too sure about his price tag.- Tx for the info then only go & dig the news out..hehe - No 1 know him in PL - But do U know that he score 25 goals last season - He's the highest Goalscoring MF in Europe - BR know that we need and out & out Goal Scorer from the "Middle" - A department that we need to work on this Summer. - If we can Gamble 20mil for Suarez & 35mil for Carroll. Regarding Suarez, He was not gamble aside from his attitude. Technically, still a gamble but a calculated one. He was a star player for Ajax and a standout performer for Uruguay during the 2010 world cup bar the Ghana handball incident. Everyone knows his ability..for 22-24 million, I still can't believe we managed to get him. Carroll for 35 million was just a case where they had too much money to spend and bet it all on one horse. Carroll = Horse. Not a wise business decision no matter how you look at it. Naivety in gambling. This post has been edited by lerijiso: Jun 17 2013, 12:54 AM |

We have had bad experiences when it comes to players from italian and dutch leagues. Kuyt and Babel scored like mad in the Dutch league but turned into herbivores when they came. So buying Suarez was a gamble in this sense. The 24m was a just valuation of his reputation at that time, so it's pretty fair.
FSG says Carroll's price is determined by how much they got for Torres, I don't know if they made the story up to save somebody's face but that was one hell of a bad deal. The only way a player could justify a 35m price tag was if he played to the level of Torres in his maiden season. For a player who has just played a season in the EPL, it's really ridiculous. btw, does anybody know how to pronounce Henrikh Mkhitaryan? hahaha |

QUOTE(bitebug @ Jun 17 2013, 09:17 AM) no, i think suarez may stayhis hissy fit is clearly same as torres when he lamented the fact that we should be at the top fighting for honours & fighting for champions league places & playing IN champions league. we dont deserve & weren't that because our recruitment has been so-so. He sees it from within. HE knows he has so much time left at the top & to not be involved in top league would be seen as a pity. The argument may then be why isn't he thinking for liverpool instead? hmm this has been debated countless times. |

Henrik on the other hand is not a 22million player imo. I hope I'm wrong. And I think the commentators will have a tough time pronouncing his name..lol. I can't even spell his surname..too many consonants..not enough vowels.FSG says Carroll's price is determined by how much they got for Torres, I don't know if they made the story up to save somebody's face but that was one hell of a bad deal. P/S: Suarez's freekick against Spain last nite was awesome. This post has been edited by lerijiso: Jun 17 2013, 10:21 AM |

Quite agree with Chris Lam on this. Every transfer is a gamble. It's all about team work at the end of the day. You can 100mil pounds rated striker but if nobody pass the ball to you, then nothing's gonna work |

The biggest mistake suarez had done is keep talking about the possible transfer to Real Madrid. It somehow break the bonding with the fans. Suarez just need to stop talking.
I am however, really hope that he stay at anfield next season. His case is totally different with torress |
