Must say i am surprise that Shelvey is allow to go...and i thot he's got potential...but maybe that's it...potential...maybe they have some sorta measurement or a machine to predict how far a player can go when he fully developed...beats me...but again, we saw Liverpool build up its base with British players, only to let them go....As in the case of John Welsh...all the huuhaaa surrounding this player...who to be fair is an interesting prospect - graduating from under 19 to under 21, and also the captain for the youth squad...and now he is with Preston North End...luckily  its not 'the' end...but given the priority to mould local lads into liverpool 1st team, i find disturbing that each change of managers we have had, resulted in change of youth set-up and some players being release...

maybe we dont have any talents or it is not easy to unearth another potential star, but to say our academy is top notch and comparable with the best, i find it amusing we havent got any talent that could sit on the bench let alone included in the 1st eleven..

And now, with the signing of Luis alberto....aspas...i'd be wondering where our youth players stand? and what happen to our british policy, or at least have a core british based players? of cos, some would argue there are the robinson, kelly and etc...but i really dont see them breaking into the 1st eleven, well maybe kelly is the closes, but with a fit Glen Johnson, i dont think he stand a sniff at 1st team...
