About The Division

Made by Swedish developer Massive Entertainment (World in Conflict), The Division is an online open world RPG/co-operative shooter for PS4 and Xbox One, due 2014.

The Division focuses on a 2001 operation called Darkwinter, which "revealed how vulnerable we've become."
A trailer explained that society has become "fragile" and "complex," noting that the fact that consumers spend millions of dollars on Black Friday and makes us vulnerable to a pathogen that could wipe out shoppers by being passed along via cash.

It looks stunning, with a muted, realistic palette and impressive physics and effects. The Division also has a kind of Watch Dogs feel to it,
with HUD elements dynamically appearing on items and locations as you explore.

You play as a highly trained operative of The Division, a kind of highly trained peace corp who will apparently be the saviours of humankind.



The trailer explores a doomsday scenario where after a few days, the stock market would collapse, we'd lose power, and society would essentially collapse. Fictional legislation called "Directive 51," signed in 2007, is said to be put in place to deal with that situation.

Man i love the gameplay for this game,so realistic. Too bad it's on consoles only

like the multiplayer too, look really cool too!!!

yup, playable on tablet but u can customize your character and control drones only if im not mistaken

Yeah, as second screen support. It can be play through a companion app on your tablet. Pretty much you're becoming a drone for your coop members, providing healing and surveillance.

Yeah just like in the gameplay trailer where the guy in tablet using drone to mark out target behind the billboard and other just shoot to the marker.

Yes you can play the game solo, unfortunately you must have PS+ because the ingame world is always online.. And you need to stay connected to the internet to play no matter what

Having teammates sure does help, especially for the high difficulty missions / inside the Dark Zone.

From the YouTube video, the enemy seems so stupid, stand in open let people shoot and yet not moving behind things to take cover. Different from previously what they showed in the early gameplay demo

Destiny... is first person shooter..

this is 3rd person lor...

well ya , but i do hope got more type of gameplay, not just shoot and proceed.
Most of the vanila destiny are mostly shoot shit up and wait for dinky bot to unlock new area except for raid.

In the PVE area only (outside Dark Zone), we level up our character using normal EXP by completing missions and killing AI's. Level cap is 30.

In the Dark Zone (PVE and PVP), we will get Dark Zone EXP, which will Rank up our Rank in the Dark Zone. Not sure about our Rank cap.

PVE area only = Level
Dark Zone = Rank

Weapons and Gear in the Dark Zone have Level and Rank requirements, for example: to use this weapon you need to be Level 20 AND Rank 30.

well , i seriously wanna play it but just not the season pass yet.
if vanila game is good , then it will justify my purchase of season pass.

i don't like developer asking to pay extra before you even play it.
which make me doubt the quality and replayablity of the game.

The season pass alone is $39.99
After conversion maybe the Gold Edition will save us some cash (my guess)
But hey, it's up to you

As for the beta, there will be no NDA, so a lot of people will be people streaming. I might be streaming too

i like the no class addition.

Never play destiny before, one of the reason is I suck with FPS on console.

But the division seems interesting. Probably will wait after it launch and see the review first. but so far, it looks promising.

Yup, there are 9 base skills and 3 signature skills.

For each base skills, there are 3 Mods, and a Master Upgrade to increase the effectiveness.
Which gives us 4 variant of each skills.
(note that Master Upgrade is not a variant, it is only to improve the effectiveness of a skill)

Which means 9 X 4 = 36 skills to choose from!
Don't forget the 3 signature skills

We can mix and match and have up to 2 skills and 1 signature skill.
