i won't be surprise to see ppl eating dog cookies as one of my friend did that infront of me last time. He is also another extreme dog lover and most of his dogs are joining competitions. But long time never contacted him di. hehe ...

HEhehe.. dog parties... I love dog parties, used to go to my friend's doggy parties... every time is like a big birthday bash... with humans and as many as 10 dogs together at 1 home... got doggy meat and cheese birthday cake, as well as homemade dog cookies which I can say are extremely delicious.... imagine, liver cookies, cheese sticks, muffin... taste so damn nice but for dog pulak hahahah.... cake also tasty....

haha. sounds so cool.
i've never been to a dog party before.
non of my friends even owns a dog.

All my friends that owns dogs are forum friends... hehehe... you make some friends here then sure can attend a doggy party one day

Anyone has any cool (and easy tricks) to teach a dog? I am looking to teach my dog new tricks.

- sit
- down
- up
- shake hand
- heel
- fetch (though she has trouble letting go of the item so I'm working on that )

I am going to teach jump soon but would like some additional trick ideas to teach Mika.

well , my lui lui know lots of common and tricks :
-sit
-shake hand right hand
-shake hand left hand
-five five right hand
-five five left hand
-jump jump
-walk straight
-turn around when stand straight
-upside down
-kiss kiss
-down
-fetch

that's all ...my gf train lui lui very well edi , but my gf oso want to find more tricks to teach lui lui . well ur mika reli good oso mah , u noe i got a friend shih tzu doesnt know any single tricks and common , even a basic common like come here oso dun noe , so charm -- mayb he dun have the time to train their shih tzu .

my grandmother's dog doesn't even understand a single command and he's already 1+ years old.
last few days when i visited her house, i managed to teach him how to sit after a few hours.

if a dog dunno how 2 play trick not relly fun liow lor.
u noe sumtimes dog really bring us very happy when you see them do those tricks
but of cuz after my lui lui done well for her tricks , i will give her most favorite sleeky to her lol. Sleeky really important to her

yeah , my friend shih tzu , when ask the shi tzu come here ...dun even wan to choice me .not to me only , the shih tzu owner oso dun wan to entertain ==

i agree.
no one bothered to teach my grandmother's dog when he was young, so now he's just really naughty. i've tried to teach him how to stay and such but he just won't listen. eeks, plus he's not even toilet trained.

If you can make mika stand while paying attention to the toy/treats on your hand, just do a circle motion above her head while having her to pay attention to your hand. If a small circle motion wont do the trick, try it with a bigger motion while saying turn turn when she's turning. That's how i got Piper to turn while standing.

Here's another cool trick, "touch" an object.

However, it is hard to teach my dog to "speak" on command.

lol...same goes to my mum ...=.= my mum like mixed breed..2 mix breed oso no toilet trained =.= my mum lazy to teach ....lol i just give attention to my lui lui onnly is because my mum say that 2 dogs is belongs to her mah , so my mum and sis dun wan share owner with them wan .well , if when a dog around 3 month - 6 month is the best time to train them , and they learn it really fast .

the tips just like what he say . well first time have to use snacks or toys to get their attention . dogs willing to do anything just for food hehe . then when my lui lui stand , i use the snack turn a round and walk straight , lui lui will follow the snack wan , at first , so slowly slowly , lui lui know the common when i show my hand with small circle and go straight sign movement . try ~ i bet mika will learn it fast

i also taught my dog to turn around when stand straight.. i actually used the her favourite biscuit to attract her where she's standing.. then turn the biscuit round and round.. she'll just turn around following the biscuit while standing too.. its seriously cute..

wow those listed are the command words as well? shake hand left hand. isn't 4 words kinda hard to teach? how do u teach upside down? similar to playing dead is it?
