QUOTE(Pennywise @ Jun 25 2007, 09:38 AM) I doubt you can find it at Watson. Try any pet store, they should have it and its only about RM6.90 or RM5.90 only. Casper wont shake until I am done with him. So as soon as I pour the last bit of water, I move away to the corner of the bathroom in order not to get wet but sometimes he will run to me and then shake. Wahhhh keng! How do you train him to do that? I thought this kind of thing is by instinct? No problemo. It's easy for your hands too, no need scrub until all rough. Its about RM5.90 or RM6.90 I got from Seapark Pet Supplies, SS2. Thanks pennywise, when i free, will go sea park supplies and have a look ='D Thanks in advace, hehehe

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Jun 24 2007, 08:17 PM) You can wash the face but as for showering, you would need to lower your dog's head so the water doesn't get into the nose. Dogs hate it when water gets into their nose. Firstly, washing the face is easy if you use baby tearless shampoo. It is safer, tearless means it won't irritate the eyes. Just use your fingers to scrub. Don't worry about shampoo getting into the eyes, baby shampoo is very safe since it won't cause harm to babies. For me, I'll hold my dog's muzzle and lower her head in an angle so that when I shower, the water drips downwards and won't enter her nose. Another way is getting a bucket of water and a small cup to pour the water slowly at the areas you wanna wash out the shampoo. Some people would use wet cloths but it won't 100% get rid of all shampoo residue. If you want to whiten the face, you can get hold of BioGroom's whitening shampoo, it is tearless. Not all of BioGroom's shampoo are tearless.... so far only a few and one of them is the whitening one. can i use tearless baby shampoo on the head and pure paws shampoo on the body? will dogs close their eyes when we wash their head? coz we human does close eyes when we shampoo mah.. wad if the water go inside the nose..

Yes, of corse u can. But to me, it is not the matter of which shampoo to use on face, is the right method. Even baby shampoo entering the eyes, u will feel uncomfortable right? So normally, when u wash the eyes there, wash from below, when u scrub, they will close the eyes one. Pure Paws shampoo doesnt contain harmful ingredients, so even accidentally enter the dog's eyes, it cause no harm. I'm sure when u bath for ur dog more, u will get the catch how to do it.

Yes, but put ur fingers above the nose when u do so, so the water will flow through ur finders instead of into the nose, practice more, on9 research more, u will improve gradually.

ya .. try and cover the nose with ur "giant" palm so that the water will flow down thru ur hand instead of flowing direclty into your puppy's nose. That's what i do all the time... hehehe.

twice a week ar ?? A bit too much gua . Once a week is actually enough lor. I'm not sure about toy poodle - depends lor if ur pup is smelly or not. Hepy is odorless - so, i bath him once a week only. But of course if he gets all dirty - poo in the cage and stepped all over himself - then i'll have to bath him again lor jz like today . Instead, I jz bathed him two days ago . Coz if you use too much shampoo on your pup, it's not good for his skin and it'll make his skin dry.

I'm not sure if certain dogs have odor and some do not haf. But what i'm sure is the smell usually comes from the ears or the mouth . Usually the body does not have smell one. The smell is at the face . I clean Hepy's ears very often and i check his ears everyday. When i see little dirt, then i clean them for him. WHen i see got grow one or two hair, i straight away pluck them out. I din wait until the hair grow until lebat lebat .. then only pluck. So far, hepy does not have any odor, let it be his body or his head or his ears .. hehe. Jz completely odorless . Hepy's 4 months plus. Turning into 5 months old on 13th July.

Twice a week is too much bathing. Just once a week will do. The best is once in 2 weeks. Bathing twice a week will strip away the natural oils, causing the fur to be dry, have breakage and can actually cause the body odour to be worse. No matter what shampoo you use, do not bath more than once a week.

Should ask her to use those pet's cologne then. It's better than bathing them that often.
