Planning of replacing my 7.7 tablet
1. Brand. Mainstream brand? (Asus, Samsung etc).

2. Budget. (1000-1500)

3. Specs. (Ram/Proc/Camera's MP/Screen size)
7-10" with good battery life. Wifi+3G/LTE

4. What you need in the tablet (Casual browsing & Note taking )

Some tablets to look forward to over the next few weeks/months.

- Asus Memo Pad 8
- Dell Venue 7
- Dell Venue 8
- HP Slate 7 HD
- HP Slate 7 Extreme
- Tegra Note

Tegra Note got my attention.

I'm interested in either the Memo Pad 8 or the Dell Venue 8

Advantage of the Asus
- Asus build quality
- Source code will come
- relatively powerful chipset (rockhip RK3188 yo)

Advantage of the Dell
- Warranty
- 2GB RAM
- Better build (supposedly)

Neither has any news of upgrading beyong 4.2.2
