two weeks ago I was looking for a tablet, and my choice was the asus memopad 7 or the mi pad
now i end up with the lenovo s8-50lc, because it is cheap, and big

it's up to your preference, actually, what you gonna use the tablet for most of the time.

I'd say if gaming > the rest then mipad, else the lenovo tab s8

continuous gaming (real racing 3, unkilled, coc), i'd say 2++ hours?
the battery feels small (4200++mah only), i guess something have to give to achieve that 299g weight

1. Brand. (Currently considering Asus Zenpad and Teclast P70, X70. I'm open to any other brands as well)
2. Budget. (RM300-600)
3. Specs. (7 inch and above, Has front camera)
4. What you need in the tablet (Skype, Hangout, Whatsapp, Maybe light video watching using apps or Youtube)

Parents are planning to buy a tablet but on a very low budget. The specification that I am looking at the most is at least able to video call and whatsapp. Open to any other recommendations and feedback on the tablet chosen earlier. Really want to get the best thing with the allocated budget available.

Please share you opinions smile.gif Thanks!

I am looking for a sub RM1000 (lower the better) tablet;

Purpose : It'll be used as a media player (Doesn't need any connectivity other than Wifi)

I am looking for some tablet with decent DAC/AMP or whatever you call it, something like Meizu MX4 Pro or Vivo's phone where they always boast their 'hifi godlike sound'

Are there such tablet?

Get the ZenPad or the previous Asus MeMopad 7 / 8. Xiaomi MiPad also can consider. Lenovo Tab S8 also can RM580+ only.

Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact having huge RM500 school discount until 28 Sep!
Only RM1299 for Snapdragon801, 3GB Ram and beautiful FHD screen, this is one of the best flagship 8" tablet you can get now!
The thin and light weight of it will shock you if you are ipad mini user or any other tablet user.
Don't mention the ultra long battery life!!

Hey guys, need some of your opinions. Planning to buy a table. icon_question.gif

1. Brand: I prefer mainstream brand.

2. Budget: less than 2k

3. Specs: I dont mind much. My priority is the battery life and smoothness (doesnt lag much. doenst lag at all would be the best). oh, and i would like a tablet that have the flip keyboard like surface pro.

4. What you need in the tablet: I'm using it for academic purpose. So mostly microsoft office stuff. and i'm planning to use it as an alternative to read my journals and articles. so a screen that does not become a mirror in different light setting would be nice.

Thanks in advance notworthy.gif

Why not just go for Microsoft Surface 3 @ RM1989? (accessories have to buy separately) Sos: Surface 3 Malaysia

Or iPad mini 4 WiFi 64GB Coming Soon @ RM1999 (keyboard accessories have to buy separately)

Last option would be Android:
You can get Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 / 10.5 and add on the keyboard

thank you for the feedback.

Yeah, was thinking about surface but some of my friends were making noises on iconia? trying to get as much opinion as possible so i can get a clearer view before making decision.

for me ipad is a no go due to the price of the accessories.

Is rm1989 for surface 3 + keyboard?
