Anyway since those are must visit places, no choice just have to be careful.
Jimbaran... i think since many people go then just go once lo... later come back people say u go until bali also no go... haha

yeah。。 one monkey tried to grab a child who's walking on his own but it was a bit too heavy for the monkey fortunately.. just take care of your child properly.. alternatively go when it's hot (middle of the day or early afternoon).. that's when the monkeys are least active.. of course the trade off would be the view la..

i didn't go jimbaran at all lol. no regrets. all my friends who went there only had negative comments.

all the beaches in Bali so so nia la compared to the beaches in Malaysia.. you can try Padang-padang beach la..

Agree on the beach part. Went to Redang before and the sand is so soft and fine and water so clear.. so for bali just planning to go to a beach where can build some sand castles and chill a bit..

lol just be careful la. when i was there i didn't wear my specs at all when i see monkey nearby. sunset appear nia only i wear back, or when i'm far far away from the monkeys wear contact lenses and shoes safest. and cling on to your bag whenever u see monkey

Don't worry la, the monkeys are quite playful but they're not aggressive (unless provoked intentionally). When I was there, a baby monkey climbed onto my back, screamed a bit but it didn't harm me at all. It's very good experience to be this up close with them.

Jimbaran beach nothing to shout about, just for seaside dining. Most people go jimbaran after uluwatu.

I recommend suluban beach, it's on the way from uluwatu to jimbaran.

Day 2 is pretty hectic. Maybe do half day trip to Tanah Lot on Day 1?

For day 3, try seafood dinner in Jimbaran (it's overrated I know, but it's worth trying once in a while)

Ur schedule look hectic to me, i just plan 4 places Uluwatu Tanah Lot, Sukawati and Nusa Dua/Suluban beach.

If me I would skip Uluwatu and go for Ulun Danu Temple at Bedegul though. Much nicer place to visit.

Final night of our Bali trip now.. Really awesome place to visit. Friendly people, nice beach, everything for everyone!
Went to Taman Ayun, Lake Beratan, aerial view of Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan, then proceed to Tanah Lot. We were fortunate/unfortunate that there was a big ceremony at the Ulun Danu temple, and no one was allowed into the temple area. Our driver though was pretty excited and took many photos for us
Tanah Lot was really awesome and breathtaking, I would rate it as the highlight of our trip, must see!
2nd day saw us visit Krisna for shopping and also Rock Shop. Prices for Krisna seems quite attractive, anyway we didnt buy a lot souvenirs
After that we went to Pandawa beach, which was nice, waves not too strong, good sun, sun lounge rental is at 25K each. Too bad my son wasnt so keen on the beach, so we left early after spending only around 1 hour+ there. Next to Uluwatu which to me, is not so "must visit" as I thought it should be. Just some cliff photos and we were done. Probably the afternoon sun affected our mood a little.
Food wise, we tried babi guling (normal to me, my wife said nice), naughty nuri's which the food was actually quite delicious. If you had tried Morganfields ribs and liked them, to me Nuri's marinate is slightly better. Anyway I read in Going Places during my flight that Nuri's will be opening in Sri Hartamas soon, hope its as good as their Bali ones.
Our private pool villa was good value for money, my son enjoyed playing in the pool. Since we stayed 3 nights we were given free return airport transfers and free spa treatment for 2 person. Everything from the airport pickup was top notch, breakfast served in villa was delicious and big portion. They even helped us order dinner to our villa.
I used Arief as my driver (I call him a guide but he insists that he is a tour driver, so.. whatever.. ) and he basically is a great guy. From our conversations on whatsapp until the end of our 2 days with him, absolutely spot on. Flexible, nice car (a Nissan which you dont see much on the roads), friendly, gave us good tips to avoid tourist traps, and most importantly patient on the road. Can even crack some nice jokes too Probably a lot in LYN here knows him already, but still would like to recommend his services to anyone going to Bali. He even offered to send us to the airport but there was no need since its already provided by the hotel. PM me for contact if you cant find it in previous pages.
We will certainly come back again in future because we didnt catch any sunset this time. Skipped Jimbaran too. Part of the reason is because we were travelling with our 3-y.o. so too much travelling drains him out fast. Often naps in between sightseeing spots which is why I liked Arief's car, haha.. Still, very enjoyable and would return soon for more days next time!

guys, need advice here.
I'm planning to go to Bali on the second week of Jan, 5D4N.

Was planning to stay 2 nights at Ubud and 2 nights at Kuta, Ubud Village and favehotel.
but the thing is Ubud Village hotel is fully booked and most of my friends told me that staying at Ubud for 1 day is enough.

what do you guys recommend?
- stay 4 nights straight in Kuta and travel to Ubud
- 2 nights in Ubud and 2 nights in Kuta
or any other recommendation?

what is your purpose in bali? if u plan to party and club one ubud not for you. if just wanna chill and relax then ubud 3 nights also not enough for me
