Even ur HU is 4X50 W but when u have amp.. ur output should more than 50W.
So better take high W one loh...
Sound proof is the last thing u do...1st thing to do is built up ur ICE 1st la...

yep...alpine, DLS, focal, a/d/s are more focus in SQ

no idea bout type R and type S..cos not much SQ icer using it.. but there's some using the type X (SPX-177r, SPX-177a which is OEM by Vifa) ..and it do sound good

R6A do looks funny for the tweeter and mid bass.. i can say it's midbass is nice (bear in mind i drive it wit amp..not by HU)..the tweeter also not bad... but for me it's a bit dry..need to do some EQ to make it sound more lively

about Focal 165a (Access) they sound very dry to me.. once i listen..(they're driven by Genesis Profile summore:sweat: ) mid bass not as attack as the higher range..tweeter seems to be very bright..

MTX..JBL...no experienced with them..cos no icer using

about ur HU powering up ur component set
dun worry..they will sound...and they won't harm each other
but they wont sound as good as they use to be

becos HU true power is just about 20-25w x 4 ...
but dun worry..u will notice the difference of stock and aftermarket eventhough it's power up by HU

sound proofing... alright... since u're opening ur door panel for installation already
i suggest u do it 1 shot... so next time no need to open ur door again..(frequent open and close will cause some loosen of the door...my ex-car got water leaking problem summore )
but i can get the u the sound proof around RM300 for both side of the door incl. installation

for the alpine amp.. i only have experience wit the old V12 series (pre F#1 series)
they sound good to me.. but the latest 1...i dun have any idea..
but i think i can look for mnkh27 see wat he can offer u..he carries a lot of nice stuff)

for 1.5k mebbe u can get the type s and use the balance for the amp...
agako and prokick make good cheap amps...but bear in mind...these are spl brands i got my prokick 4ch at around 500 at a shop in uptown... can do this if ur not patient enough la...but if ur patient..id say blow the 1.5k on comp sets only

if u ever wanna audition the type s with the prokick drop me a pm... bring ur own CDs and well test them out...when im free to help u out ill try(been very bz these past few weeks...today sunday oso im in the office )

only thing u need to keep in mind when auditioning is that my setup is tuned to metal..and i mean screaming metal not some sq thingy. me like boom boom

wanted to get the type-r but the damn thing didnt wanna fit into my door panel without cutting the side cover.... so i settled for the type-s instead.

the prokick i got at kk audio in uptown....not cv..... kk audio got 2 branches in uptown one... i got from the one furthest away from the hawker centre...forgot opposite what bank already...

eii bro type R canot fit meh?

the size is the same as the type S right..gosh i dont 1 2 cut the door pannel..if next time i 1 2 trade in to perodua car shop canot get though.

type R really awesome especially the design n the colour.

its called a baffle....and yeah...pretty sure..i think the magnet size must be slightly different....

i was there when the feller tried installing into my car...so many tries and had to make so many baffles until in the end he gave up...

One of the better components from Alpine. Vifas?

I tried this set before, very neutral and sounds lovely on guitar, and typical of Vifas.. The vocals somehow a little muffled.. Giving the fella abit of human feel... And you have the crossover to fool around! Make sure you download and read the manual first. If not burn kau your crossover... Not in production more this set.. No need speaker grill. Once the 6.5 is fitted into the original mount, you can cover back with the door panel. If the your installer have trouble fitting it in, I snap a pix and send to you.

BTW, Which Type R you guys are talking about? The 17LS or the 176A? If the baffle you guys talking about is the ring to mount the drivers then I find it strange they cant fit it. I had tried fitting in 176A, 13M and now 17T woofer. Hmmm... About cutting da door panel.. Heheh, sikit sikit have to sacrifice loh...
