Graphic is good. and its not very demanding. Full ULTRA with 4TXAA gpu usage only <70%.
kinda fun but don't expect too much on the handling, it aint mean to be serious racing but its for fun. different car different handling. |

Ubisoft confirms that The Crew will be locked at 30 FPS on PC
QUOTE It's been less than a month since Ubisoft promised to improve how it handled PC games, and already we've got our next big furore. Players currently exploring the closed beta for open world driving game The Crew have discovered that the game is locked to 30 frames per second on PC. To go above that you'll have to edit the game's files manually. You can push the frame rate up to 60 FPS by doing so, but try to get it any higher than that and the game will automatically reset itself back to 60. If you're currently playing the beta you can do this by editing the ‘PCScalability.xml’ file located inside ‘C:Users\DocumentsThe Crew’. There's a fairly obvious frame rate option in that file. A Ubisoft community representative confirmed the locked frame rate in a subsequent forum post: "The final game will run in 1080p with 30 frames per second on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and will support up to 5760*1080p on PC for triple screen set-ups. Right now the team is focusing on providing an optimal experience for all players. You can unlock it in the file you've found, but it may affect the game's performances. Your call." Yeah, you see this is not the way to get PC gamers on your side, Ubisoft. 30 FPS is a very low rate to be locked at, and telling people the game may break if they try to go above that number won't fill them with confidence regarding the quality of your product. Or indeed the seriousness with which you take the platform. What do you guys think? Source: Strategy Informer |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Aug 27 2014, 07:47 AM) I guess i'll be holding off my $$ now until after launch. as the 60fps will be release on the final version, and the server stability is another issue for me. btw, this is kinda old, but i would like to know is it true? not following the Crew development alot DC = no auto-save on last checkpoint? QUOTE I asked Gerighty what would happen if someone was playing the game and their internet went down. "They won't be able to save the game, unfortunately," he said. "All our saves are server-based, it's one of those things that this new generation… it's just like World of Warcraft. If the internet connection goes on World of Warcraft, that's it, your saved game goes. It's one of the unfortunate side-effects, but I think [we're] going to a world where the experiences demand that." Kotaku - The Crew |

Kotaku - The Crew No wonder some of the collision behavior was really odd since everything is server based. |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Aug 27 2014, 11:35 AM) If thats true, then, i have completely no reason to buy this game. mostly when you scratch against the wall, you'll end up a flip 180 degree turn.No wonder some of the collision behavior was really odd since everything is server based. n there i thought there's some uneven wall that cause this but i like that they provide us alot of different view cam. the cockpit cam is not bad, at least there's a cockpit cam (refer to Grid 2 well, hope the launch is smooth and the 60fps is there and not release-patch-later-on. |
