Unless it is said that the game will be released for pc, i dont think its a good idea to open the thread.

At this stage, i doubt its coming to pc.

Racing games on PC are thought to be unpopular to big publishers. Thats why i think i doubt well see it on PC.

Watch Dogs was announced on E3 2012 with the game running on a pc. Therefore it is expected to see it on pc.

Still, i rather wait for announcement but i still doubt to see it on pc.

When was the last time I played any racing game from Ubisoft... Er... They had racing games?  whistling.gif
*
They had Driver Sans Francisco in 2011.

The Crew's team is made up by the ex-employees of Eden Games who made Test Drive Unlimited 1 & 2, while they also have people who made Driver SC helping them. I doubt its gonna be any worse than NFS Rivals.

If you expect this to drive like a sim racing game, then, dont bother then, to be honest. Doesnt even look like one in so many gameplay videos.

Not looking for sim, but some sort of between sim & arcade.
Will be bad if the car feels like floating paper (NFS Undercover......), as of from all the gameplay video now, they really not looks "aggressive" enough at all.
*
TDU's driving is kinda simcade as far as i remember. It is easy to drive like an arcade game but each car behaves quite differently.

I had been telling, new GTA map should be a country and not simply one large city. Looks like ubisoft beat Rockstar to it unless GTA VI map would be the whole continent of America.
*
There is a difference between The Crew and GTA. You need much higher fidelity assets for GTA as you are playing the game in third person view on top of building interiors. Also, there are AI pedestrians.

The Crew is a racing game where you can get away from the terribly modelled buildings a lot easier than GTA. And you do not need to model building interiors.

TDU also modelled the whole Hawaii back in 2006 or so. It is not that hard for racing games to have larger map size but it is much harder for a third person shooter to do a larger map size while having the same high fidelity.

I wanted to get this game but I am very concern about the microtransactions. Looks like pCARS is the way to go.

Note: Final content may vary form the video. Its a very old video.

wut...they have microtransactions in this game? shocking.gif

also, how is the graphic on this game? as gooding as WD and less demanding?
4 more hrs until i can try it with my own eyes.
*
The Crew does have microtransactions. Beware.

http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2014/04/14/the...-dual-currency/

Apparently they changed it so now you only can pay for cars but it isnt confirmed though. I do not trust Ubisoft.

The game is actually damn fun. Drives like TDU in an open world that is like TDU. I am on the bare minimum and it runs decently, like a console. sad.gif Looks pretty good too, in my opinion.

Lol, im just providing an option to forumers here. I do not stock these keys, i have to get them from people who are selling these keys.
*
So now you want to scam people with a 3 days Beta keys? Reported.

Beta keys arent for you to sell and make a profit.

QUOTE(darksider @ Aug 26 2014, 03:58 PM)
after several complaints in forum, ubisoft decided to take down parts of the microtransaction (such as those enabling you to pay to win; upgrades car parts, upgrading perks etc). Now its likely that microtransaction only allows you to buy cars, paint job etc that doesn't affect the gaming balance.
*
If they allow you to buy cars, it is still pay to win. I dont have time to grind for a Huayra so I pay for it on day 1 and be better than everyone else that is still driving a crappy Camaro. That is pay2win.

Bro, have some respect. I do not scam people off their money, please use your word wisely. If any users cannot get the key and want to have it without any wait, they always have an option to get it with a small cost from people who are willing to let go of them.

I don't make profit off them, I only charge small price for the cost and time that I am incurred for getting the key from the source. As I told you, I do not have the keys with me, if anyone wants to have it, I can buy it for them if they want with a small service charge.

Otherwise, you expect me to buy it and share it for them for free while I eat up all the cost? Go ahead and report me while what I am doing is nothing more than providing an option for people who would like to play beta and couldn't wait for the key which has so much queues.
*
There are plenty of source to get keys for the last few days if someone missed it then its their own fault. I got mine almost immediately from PC Gamer with zero queue at all while I had participated in many large scale Beta, it is not that hard to get a key. You are exploiting the opportunity to make money regardless what are you claiming.

These keys are not meant to be sold, even for a small cost which is against the terms and condition of the Beta testing. This Beta is only for 3 days and it will probably be expired after that, isnt that trying to scam people with a 3 days access for a profit? This is no different from people who are selling CS:GO or KF Guest Pass back in the days.

Even you do not have the key, you are contributing to the rising issue of selling Closed Beta keys. I had a couple Heroes of the Storm keys that is much more rarer than The Crew keys, I did not sell it as this sort of items are not for sold in the first place and I respect Blizzard generosity for giving me. I rather give it to friends than selling it.

Respect Ubisoft. Not exploit the opportunity to make money. Because of people like you, we cannot have nice things.

btw, this is kinda old, but i would like to know is it true? not following the Crew development alot blush.gif
DC = no auto-save on last checkpoint? hmm.gif

Kotaku - The Crew

If thats true, then, i have completely no reason to buy this game.

No wonder some of the collision behavior was really odd since everything is server based.

mostly when you scratch against the wall, you'll end up a flip 180 degree turn.
n there i thought there's some uneven wall that cause this sweat.gif
but i like that they provide us alot of different view cam. the cockpit cam is not bad, at least there's a cockpit cam (refer to Grid 2 shakehead.gif ).........

well, hope the launch is smooth and the 60fps is there and not release-patch-later-on.
*
The collision feels very odd. Sometimes I am head on towards the pillar and my car just deflected from it as if i did not hit anything. Other times, even I just scratch the pillar by the side of my door, i literally spun out 180.

I rather have no cockpit views than a grind fest with always online.A good racing game keep players interested by good driving physics, great track design and well done immersion, not putting an endless carrots on a stick to keep people playing.

Unless you have VR or triple screen, cockpit view is completely useless as the field of view is so small. If they let you tweak your view angle and camera position a bit, then, cockpit view is quite viable.

Very very grindy after putting some more hours in the game. I'll probably get this if it's on sale maybe.
But for now there is an alternative which is DriveClub for me on PS4 1 month earlier then The Cew.
If both sucks, i'll stick with my Mario Kart 8 lol!
*
I think Drive Club will be a way better game than The Crew. It feels like NFS World with better graphics and similar grinding.

If the grind is still as painful as before, I dont think I'll buy Wildrun.

No point owning only 3-4 decent cars to roam around in a game like this.

It might be good on first impression but in the long run, you spend more time getting frustrated over the poor collision, poor lobby system, poor netcode and the ridiculous amount of grinding you need to obtain the cars and the kits you need which the expansion barely addressed most of these issues. On top of a really poorly written and designed campaign where you'll spend 10 or so hours wasting time for more frustration.

The crew is a terrible game as it emphasis too much on the grinding and pointless progression than making the driving actually fun. The expansion's new specs, monster truck, drift and drag are absurdly expensive where expect to grind even more as they cost 400,000 compared to 15,000 for the 5 original specs. The game's end game is all about grinding than enjoying the drive.

La Ferrari is already difficult to get with it's high price tag, now with these 3 absurdly expensive specs, I dont even know it worth the hours to grind for it after they further nerf the MP payoff. It used to be 20k per Mp match, now they dropped it to 10k to 12k per match while the free drive challenge payoff is way too low.

I played for 4 hours last night, aint going to get this expansion because they made the grind even worse. The new NFS seemed to be a much better game than this.
