Where's your location Fox? Same here, some torrents are getting healthy amount of seeds/peers but the downloads just wouldn't start. Mostly happens to TVB series torrents. Anime torrents are working just fine.

QUOTE(nerd @ May 10 2006, 02:25 PM) 0.66 is stable for me. except that now my connection really slow >< Me too when im using dirrect lan i can get up to 100kpbs and when I used the wifi. Max I get is 10kpbs using bitcomet 0.66. Who still have 0.60 as i never have problem with it. The new one having lotsa crash on me. Sobanyway, just asking, if my computer is connected through wifi.. does the configuration of the server affect my download speed? because my server just got reformatted recently.. so maybe that's the cause of my 1kbps download speed instead of the usual 70kbps.. oh yeah, what does manual connect do? i've pressed it a few times.. and.. nothing happens. and what the hell..? is this normal?? mine has been like this for the past week! Sob how about speed-wise using 0.60? did you get your original download speeds on wifi?anyway, i'm thinking that the server has nothing to do with it, maybe the router needs some configuration. what do you guys think? but weird thing is, it was okay before.. oh yeah, i just noticed, it says that "download speed is proportional to upload speed." means if i set my upload at 5kbps, my download will also be 5kbps? I'm using utorrent and my avarage download speed is 8-15kb/s, upload is about 20kb/s more. I've patched my tcpip.sys. Will port forwarding improve the download speed? or is there any other tweaks i must do? any link will do edit : got the link edi. This post has been edited by benQue: May 15 2006, 02:50 AM |

it modifies the registry to improve the conenction speed .
it works very well , freeware as well ... now loading the page is just less than 1 second . can be found at speedguide.net . you can either choose to modify yourself or use the programme provided . the probelm is , will it crash with the BT server ? i lnow that speed optimizer by DAP will crash BT server . |

QUOTE(BridgestoneRE711 @ May 20 2006, 12:11 PM) it modifies the registry to improve the conenction speed . BT is a P2P protocol so there's no single server but essentially all peers function as server/client at the same time. The TCP/IP optimizer at speedguide.net modifies Windows registry settings and I don't think there are any crashing effects by using it.it works very well , freeware as well ... now loading the page is just less than 1 second . can be found at speedguide.net . you can either choose to modify yourself or use the programme provided . the probelm is , will it crash with the BT server ? i lnow that speed optimizer by DAP will crash BT server . |

No harm trying I guess. AFAIK, router has a finite limits to the number of concurrent connection, (My D-Link Rounter is ~ 300 connections) Anything more will cause a router reset.
Maybe without a router u can have much more connections w/o any reset? But hey, there's this talks about ISP limiting p2p bandwidth. I dont know if TmNet does this as well, but its something many ISP around the world does actually. If thats the case, you're out of luck then Anyway, no harm trying if you've already have the hardware there. Increase your peers connection |
