hi,

will i get a faster connection if i connect my pc directly to the modem (D-Link - supplied by TMNet) using the network cable supplied (Not USB) . I am currently using a Modem-Router (Alcatel) and thinking of testing the direct connection .. any comment.

No harm trying I guess. AFAIK, router has a finite limits to the number of concurrent connection, (My D-Link Rounter is ~ 300 connections) Anything more will cause a router reset.

Maybe without a router u can have much more connections w/o any reset? unsure.gif

But hey, there's this talks about ISP limiting p2p bandwidth. I dont know if TmNet does this as well, but its something many ISP around the world does actually. If thats the case, you're out of luck then tongue.gif

Anyway, no harm trying if you've already have the hardware there. Increase your peers connection tongue.gif
