i've never been infected with virus since i used AntiVir.
in the past, i've used uncle looi antivirus (486 dos), McAfee virusScan 6 (the only antivirus designed for windows XP during that time, ok), mcafee security center (the 1st time mcafee integrate antivirus with firewall, spyware, antitheft....crap), norton 2001 (for my windowsME, ok lah) , norton 2003, 2006 (after XP, all norton are crap)

I am using nod32. It is a good anti virus which take VERY little resourses. The defination updates are almost daily and sometimes twice a day. Never used Kaspersky before so I cant compare with that to see which is better.

NOD32 is recommended for low specs while KAV for higher specs pc. IMO, KAV will be slightly more powerful than nod32 but sometimes may leads to inflexibility.

Reformat is the best solution. I shall assume that you're using... You know what kind of OS.
Get a new OS disc. Stop using the same disc.

I have been using AVG Free for a long time now, but recently my friends recommend me to move onto Avast! He didnt exactly clarify why to do so but I am curious since I went through this thread and find most of you are on Avast! than AVG Free. Anyone wants to enlighten me?

How about any Anti-Spam software which you guys have tried and find it useful with Microsoft Outlook?
