AVG uses low resources, good for low-medium end computer range...
but, what I don't like is poor detection rate sad.gif
*
Agree.

But despite the fact that AVG sometimes detects stuffs which others don't, and others detect stuffs AVG don't, AVG is fairly ok.

Yet, I still think that AVG can barely survive from virus attacks, or let me put it this way, it's not capable as other leading/free AVs in providing security protection.

Just IMHO though.

HAURI was established for the purpose of developing and providing the most effective protection for user data against virus infection and data damage. "HAURI" means "Under the sky do we stand" in Korean. HAURI has now grown to be the most promising anti-virus and data recovery venture in Korea, with its world-class technology leadership.
HAURI is making great effort to promote competition with other developers in Korea's anti-virus industry in an attempt to foster the international competitiveness of Korean companies, and to implement a safe and secure computer environment as a leader in Korean software development. We are also transforming ourselves into an integrated security solution developer/supplier in this Internet era, by introducing safe network management systems, IT asset management systems and data recovery software.

Claimed to be world-class. Lol.

Please don't ask for activation code, or any code...[whatever] to activate your AV software...

You're bound to 2 choices:-

- buy it
- or use free alternative [like me dry.gif]

What's so bad with AVS... dry.gif

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Dec 21 2006, 12:39 AM)
my friend has a pc that has no internet connection.
he wants to install AVS but it needs activation.
how to perform it manually and in offline?
*
I think it's impossible. As you need to connect to the server to receive the authentication of your key.

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Dec 21 2006, 07:10 PM)
for the entry of licence key, does the pc need to be online?

Online Scanners don't have enough privilege to remove malware. They only detect, sadly.

But you can remove the junk manually. YAY. LOL. Cheers!

I disagree, they tend to remove it, and will abort if it can't be removed. smile.gif
