why not Avast. been using it for many years, i tried loading site full of spyware and it block every possible alarming thing.

by the way I'm Kaspersky users for 1 year too. they are both the same. virus is something like Lottery, you won't kena so easily if you got a trusted anti-virus, the most unlucky thing that will happen is even though you pay for it, after one year, you can look back and sigh " no virus gone through what i'm paying for " tongue.gif this is what i thought when i'm not renewing my KIS instead i go for Avast freeware ^^

Funny, you fail in english

He say did he miss anything else.. not just talking about hidden objects...
So u means Avira fail to scan hidden file (window file in hidden file)...then just failed so big time...Avira just a failed.

Technical POV , if any security software can't SCAN Hidden Files, i personally won't even Label it as a security software.

That being said , Avira can Scan Hidden Files.

Simple test?

1) Create Folder A
2) Create Subfolder B inside Folder A and make it as Hidden
3) Demand Avira to Scan Folder A
4) Check out the Scan Reports and see if it scanned the subfolder B

Answer? Yes its scanned. End of story
