anyone tried the new norton internet security 2009? i heard that it is a very low resource usage.
*
It's not even out yet, I've tried the internal beta (both NAV & NIS), quite fast, and the updates too... it just too flashy... sweat.gif

yes but far less effective than the paid one
the trial version is ok though
i would always spend rm30-40 to buy a peaceful yr with KIS
if u count it's only 10 cents a day hehe
*
why do you said it's far less effective than the paid one? it's trial, all functionality should work (if I'm not mistaken) until the last day of the trial period. and owh, the updates works too.

it's true enough, just invest and give urself a peace of mind
the "ehem" one might give u some hassles to keep changing new keys or new cracks
it's up to u all actually
*
not really necessary, some "ehem" one give you usage from 1,2,3 and even 15 years... if you know where to find lor... but again, original is better since you'll get product support:thumbs:

maybe he meant Active Virus Shield (AVS) that used KAV6 engine
*
Then he should state it like: "my fren got a similar problem with AVS free edition that used KAV engine last time" or something like that. It's clearly confusing rolleyes.gif

He should invest RM10 for KAV (Original license for 1 PC only).
*
Yep. RM0 to RM10 is nothing compared to the differences in the level of protections you get.

hmm.. like that i might aswell find a crack version.  thumbup.gif

LOL. doh.gif Cracked version won't allow you to update. Even you managed to update, it'll blacklisted in a matter of time before you need to work your ass down to find a new working key which will be blacklisted again. Repeat again and again and again and again. rolleyes.gif

doh.gif That's ESET. I was talking about Kaspersky. And, FYI, I can tell easily if your ESET are genuine or pirated, only n00bs can't tell the differences rolleyes.gif

Many people don't know about the effects of having two AV/IS software in one OS. What they think is that two antivirus software is better than one and can block more viruses.  doh.gif

then they'll ask, how come my pc crash? =.=

Hey, I got a friend that have five different protections. Kaspersky, Nod32, Symantec, TrendMicro and McAfee, and I was like rolleyes.gif

Can always use VMWare or Virtual PC to test the viruses, no harm will be done except maybe it'll steal your password if your antivirus isn't good enough.

ZA uses Kaspersky Engine? Now that's new to me.

Source?

And why do you say ZA sucks?
*
Maybe because he's a virus spreader? And ZA is better than Kaspersky in term of blocking his viruses icon_idea.gif
