no popup, no alert can be dangerous if u don't know what is going on
I'm using ZoneAlarm Free here, quite satisfied with it and the latest updates are making it quite stable on my WinXP SP2

Matousec still ranks Comodo & Online Armor at the top, no surprise.

http://www.matousec.com/projects/firewall-...nge/results.php

What surprises me is one newcomer, Netchina S3 2008. Since it comes from China, no surprise coz they do have the Great Firewall of China.

PC Tools Firewall Plus is also surprising since the older test ranks them as the worst, huge improvements for them to climb the charts drastically.

sygate: easy to configure, to change rules 4 application
zone alarm: same as above
jetico: i really dunno how to configure this one, seems like not enough option, not very user friendly, even block my access to internet
comodo: a good firewall but slow down my pc
