for me, i think webroot is much more easier than comando and is freeware too.

ever since i started using Vista, i've been waiting for comodo to release their Vista-supported version. i lost patience waiting for the software and lost track of it. early feb, i found that it was out so i started using it. it came with Firewall security and Defense+. It is a good software, monitors all exe files copied onto the computer, closes a lot of ports, auto-learns softwares.

But how good is the Defense+? I want to use AntiVir together with Comodo. Is that good enough to complement Defense+ by comodo firewall?

i thing defense comodo firewall it good coz have a view log about intrusion network..like firewall kaspersky..i think la..

It is better turn off Windows Firewall

Currently not using any firewall programs but am gonna try Comodo Personal Firewall since so many people suggested it.

webroot free firewall is also a very good one and not lagging ur pc too.

Does anyone know a firewall software which doesn't slow down the comp when torrenting?

My stupid McAffee firewall will cause my comp to lag if I run BitComet overnight. I guess it cannot differentiate between connection to peers from unauthorized access stuff. Is Zone Alarm any good? I would also like to know which firewall software uses the least amount of resources

Basically, all of them use up resources because they've gotta constantly monitor your incoming/outgoing connections, set McAfee's Firewall to allow your torrent program with "Full Access".

Well, I would like to know one which uses less resources unlike norton's internet security suite thing which hogs up way too much resources.

McAfee Firewall does not have a setting for that. I'm using the older version btw because the newer one offers less customization similar to Vista like products which are meant to be more "user-friendly"

Added on June 3, 2008, 1:16 amIt has Full Access for BitComet but it still lags the comp after I leave my BC for quite awhile. Reason being is that it there are tons of connections going throgh BC and the firewall will slow down the PC by scanning all those incoming connections eventhough the permission is set to Full Access

Tried using uTorrent, small, light and powerful, not sure whether it'll help much though. Check your computer for viruses and/or spyware but update your definitions first. Post your full computer spec please. I'm gonna sleep now, anything add me MSN and PM me, I'll reply you tomorrow.

used comodo b4..good but difficult to configure (for novice like me).

also tried ZA,mcafee and norton firewall but slows my pc.

now using online armor free.. easy to use & lightweight.

now i using online armor free.. its nice and passed PCFlank's Leaktest !, my comodo firewall pro failed this leaktest
