Actually, a lot of firewalling programs can do that, under the "Trusted Programs List".

Am using COMODO .... great firewall wink.gif LOVE IT!!

Tried ZA before, but seems hv a little problem with my Vista tongue.gif

If u never used a firewall 'listed above' before, better try to read some review of these firewalls. Some balloon msg WILL pop out askin you.. Allow? Deny? OK? YES? biggrin.gif

Depends on your need, what are you looking into Deep Packet Inspection? Application Layer Protection? etc.
Cisco has evolve from just being a network level FW,when it acquired PIX, to also protecting the Apps.

An ESET user here..
however i am using the Nod32 instead of the ESS.
I combine it with Outpost Firewall Pro~

Love the threesome combination(there's another).

me too (using Comodo Internet Security actually). the firewall component seems better than ZoneAlarm Free (more stable and seems more robust too) but the antivirus component looks a little less able than Avira Antivir Personal and takes much longer to scan my hdd
