Firewall leak-tests results (matousec.com)

Personally I think hardware firewall is a better option. It might only need to be turned on in your existing modem.

Check the site once more (matousec.com). They've just recently updated it and you'll see how PC Tools firewall fare

To quote Softpedia review: "The application is designed for newbies that want to say to their friends they are behind a firewall, but experienced users will soon realize that this is not a too reliable firewall."

What surprises me is one newcomer, Netchina S3 2008. Since it comes from China, no surprise coz they do have the Great Firewall of China.

PC Tools Firewall Plus is also surprising since the older test ranks them as the worst, huge improvements for them to climb the charts drastically.

dunno why you guys still bother with software firewall,
our modem/gateway/router already have good firewall.
