i love 505RH bios too but it doesnt give the correct temp for core. i'll try the 811 bios today. we have the same revision board but i'm using 3500 orlean. max clock using the maximum voltage thru bios is only 2.8ghz, this proc need more voltage coz i dont have any problem with temp. i'm using xp90c with nidec fan 110cfm icon_rolleyes.gif
but thru biostar tool i can reach 3ghz with 1.6v, i read somewhere in rebel haven forum their chip regulator in the board only can supply maximum 1.55v but why using biostar tool we can set the voltage at 1.6v hmm.gif my proc need this voltage to reach more than 2.8ghz.
looks like biostar still didnt do a good bios for this board, and i afraid their will not give any attention since their have another replacement board eg. ta690g! so i might buy this board first. their vdimm and vcore max is so promising!!
*
actually u can read the correct temp by using speed fan in windows ( i only tried on that modded 505 bios b4, nv try on orignal 505), it works . So basically temp bug can be ignored. U can use 1.6v by using the biostar tool? i could'nt cry.gif The screen freezes when i change to 1.6v. I really dunno why other can while i couldn't.

About Ta690G, i believe that 6100 am2 can reach higher max HTT than TA690G. But consider 6100 am2 is so buggy and problematic, it is never a wrong choice to swap to a better mobo icon_rolleyes.gif

yes i could change the core voltage but i just realize my bios rite now (507RH) make my biostar tool freeze when i change the voltage to 1.6v, so the freezing problem is causing by bios for sure. i need to find the rite bios first and will let u know which version support biostar tool.
i love this board too but for this whole year i'm waiting their best bios but not even one is impress me and i can see this board can go really far using clockgen/biostar tool. and my max vdimm only 2.06v even i set jumper at 2.2v..
i like ati chipset coz it run fairly cool, i have ecs rs482 m-atx last time and it run in superslim m-atx without any problem plus mild overclocking. very nice!!

oic ... i was wondering what caused the biostar tool freezes. Thanks for telling me this. i will try to find out the right bios as well.

Personally i think that TF7050 M2 is much more better for you if you are looking for mighty OCable MATX motherboard. according to the user comments, that mobo can easily do 330-350HTT in bios and post without any problem. That's quit solid if it's true. And the chipset is cool as well. That TA690G seems lose a bit in term of oc ability. Just my 2cents rclxms.gif

personally i love CR51A811 bios. It runs freaking stable . Bios from 811 onwards have onboard gc overheat problem ( i've just tested few of them, for confirmation u need to try by yourself) . I've tried to install windows vista after i flash to those later bios ( not 811), i cant even boot into windows vista due to the onboard gc overheated. I read from a few chinese forums, ppl mentioned that it is overheated because biostar enable the purevideo function for 6100 ( by default supposed 6100 could not support pure video, only 6150 can ).

you can try 811 bios , it should be able to solve your temp & gc problem rclxms.gif

修正X2 3600+ 65nm cpu重启时需复位1次才能开机问题.

fix the bug that need to clear CMOS then only can restart when using X2 3600+ 65nm . if not cannot post. Something like that .

hi there, don't believe the temperature. It doesn't work well for brisbane 3600+ . I'm using the same proc like you as well, hehe. It shows 50+ C when i was using 811 but then i use thermometer to measure the proc, it is around 38~40C only. The only thing i can say is trust yourself. You should know whether the proc is hot or not. rclxms.gif

don't worry, this mobo can go very far without problem.

It is a sin to run brisbane at its default speed.
And I've heard this somewhere in this forum.

here's my sceenshot, shoot up to 390HTT without problem, and it is not the limit yet.

There are many people discussing about am2 overclocking in this forum everyday.

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/316293

I realized that brisbane X2 3600+ is abit cacat with its x9.5 multiplier when pair with Tforce 6100 am2 (even the latest bios is still causing the problems). Pc always restart when i tried to OC it ( sometimes need to clear CMOS in oder to recover it) . So i change the cpu multiplier to X9.0 , everything works fine after that. rclxms.gif

Remember to maintain your HT link at a level that not more than 1000 Mhz ( HT link = multiply of bus speed , 2X, 3X, 4X or 5X) . You can change it in your BIOS. And disable CPU spread spectrum when you OC. Enjoys laugh.gif
