hi guys. im down with these parts. all price from lingloong.

4670k - RM725
asrock z87 pro3/4 - RM415
Bitfenix merc alpha - rm125
mushkin 2x4gb 996988 - rm195

total = rm1460

budget is strictly rm2.5k.

the only thing i wanted now is GPU. RM1040 for a gpu. im eyeing for zotac 760 for rm899, but is AMD has better offer (and performance) at around my target price (rm1040)?

some info, i already got 650w PSU, a 1080p monitor. and mostly playing at 1080p.
*
Currently at this very moment,GTX760 is the best GPU in terms of price/performance.You'll never go wrong with that.Slap a bit more for Zotac GTX760 Amp! Edition for optimum performance.

*
Asrock B85M Pro4 RM279.Comes with internal usb3.0 socket which MSI B85M-E33 doesn't have.For the case,you can pick CM K280 for a price of RM129.

owh okie.. just googled just now and tot it was EVGA which is better.. erm, is the xeon better than i5 in terms of gaming? and the psu 500W seems a little low to enuf power is it?
*
Malaysia don't have EVGA.

i5 is actually enuf for gaming.I chosed Xeon because i wanted to max out everything within the budget given.Of course Xeon's better.It has the power of i7,tho.

from previous post, u recon Asrock B85M Pro4 and also MSI H77MA-G43.. which one is better? both support usb 3.0? and does 500W psu enuf to power the config?
*
Asrock B85M Pro4 --> socket 1150 haswell.
MSI H77MA-G43 --> socket 1155 ivy bridge.

Those are from different socket.It's yours to choose.
And yup,500W will be enough to power up the rig.

owh, ok.. since both mobo dont differ much in price, which one would u recon? and would my rig performance increase if i use higher psu, like 620W
*
No.PSU is just a power supply.It has nothing to do with PC performance.Spending too much for an unused extra power is just a waste.

Regarding the IVY vs Haswell,It's actually depends.If you got so much work to do with your PC,i'll go for Xeon anytime..and if it's only for gaming and some light job,i5's will do..

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendation!  thumbup.gif

Is the Zotac GTX760 AMP! worth investing in?  drool.gif

If let's say I don't really do hard gaming should I reduce the gc, and increase processor, would that be recommended? hmm.gif
*
Yup.That GTX760 Amp! comes with 2+3 years extended warranty summore.. brows.gif

Yeah.You can invest in Xeon E3-1230 V3 if you wish to.

Nice... But I noticed that you can't find Zotac anywhere. I hear people talking about it, but its hard to find. Is there a reason for it? I thought I would go to the shop, give them the specs and assemble, but my usual shop in LYP don't have zotac...  hmm.gif

PM Cyntrixtech.They're good at it..and they've got all kind of stuffs.Including Zotac's.. brows.gif
