QUOTE(hmwgbworld @ Oct 22 2013, 01:21 AM) You can check the spec on website, only vga and dvi on mobo only if not mistaken. my fren told me that if the monitor can go HD, but our mobo dont have the HDMI,the graphic would be less quality? btw, what is that ips?The display out from mobo isn't important anymore since u get your display output from graphic car instead. |

Hello,
Planning on buying a new gaming rig. Any thoughts on one if the criteria is per below. Any help is deeply appreciated. [Budget is Rm 3000 but slightly over by 200-300 is ok] [Need to use it for Gaming , Internet, torrent, plus watching movies] [Recycling from old rig = Gpu, optical drive, monitor and keyboard & mouse] [I'm in KL] for the casing, it has to run cool as my room has bad ventilation when AC and fan is off. So the casing needs to have Good ventilation and a few fans. Also, I use external Hard disks a lot, so usb 3.0 in front is appreciated. Any recommendations? QUOTE(Cable707 @ Oct 22 2013, 03:35 AM) Here's one to consider : I'd rather go with LianLi PC07 at the same price n Bump RM50 more for TX650.Intel Core i5 4570 3.2GHz RM619 Asrock H87 Performance RM379 G.Skill 1333MHz ram 2x4GB RM210 Super Flower HX600W 80+ Gold PSU RM299 Adata Premier Pro SP900 128GB SSD RM359 WD Caviar Blue 2TB HDD RM344 Corsair SP120 Fan Dual Pack x2 RM380 Cooler Master Hyper 212X Cooler RM129 Corsair Carbide 300R case RM269 Total - RM2988.00 Blue vs green on WD for data aint gonna make much of a difference. WD 2tb Green - RM275. Corsair Fans are too loud. and crazy to spend 4 fans at Rm380. And AFAIk SP120 twinpack is at RM145. Discard this. and Coolermaster Hyper 212X Cooler Rm129 Stock cooler will do. Since this not a K proc 4430 has no issue with Stock cooler even at full load. Replace this if u must with Corsair H80i - RM379. And Rams G.Skill 1333.... Haswell Supports 1600mhz Native. So go for 1600 and i recommend Kingston Hyperx 1600 C9 8gb - RM290 SSD get Samsung 840 Evo (120GB: RM360) from Ronaldjoe Or if u can fork more. Samsung 840 Pro 128 - RM450 from him. The latter is very reliable can u can use it for years. |

For fans,yup,it's overprice.Can proceed with Arctic Cooling F12.. |

Cable management is fine. Its a combi of psu choice and installer skill. I had no issue with it.TS wanted a good air flow to reduce heat. That's why i suggest a CPU cooler for optimum result. For fans, yup,it's overprice. Can proceed with Arctic Cooling F12.. 1600 and 1333 on haswell has a world of difference. Again more to skill and testing of the tester. Haswell is 1600 native. The first intel cpu lineup. No point going lower. Its even better off getting a value ram 1600mhz rather than a slap on heatsink 1333mhz gskill. 4570k is not hot. Even with cpu cooler on stock speed etc running prime on load with avx 2 is going to hit 81C. Ure never going to come close to it. If u have to. Go with Phantek for air ( color matching if u want it) or a H80i. Lian Li PC07 stock fans are good enough. The casing is superbly well made. Sandforce always has i/o consistency issues and based on experience having had most of the controllers available in the market. LAMB and samsungs are very good. which reminds me cheaper version of corsair neutro gtx and also very good on i/o consistency inpar to enterprise levels... Sandisk Extreme II. Corsair distro is pretty reliable on exchanges and warantty issues. U can say the same for gskill, antec, adata etc. This post has been edited by cstkl1: Oct 22 2013, 08:01 AM |

Adata SSD no problem in performance, however not so popular in terms of reliability due to almost 40% -ve feedback that i saw from newegg. That's one of the reasons why I don't recommend it personally.TS wanted a good air flow to reduce heat. That's why i suggest a CPU cooler for optimum result.
