HEY GOOD DAY TO ALL,

I want to build a budget gaming rig, mostly playing dota2, currently using a laptop(not really satisfied with its performance) Lenovo Z470 (i5,gt630m), my fps is about 40-50. i would like to have fps around 80-90 or more is better. I do prefer nvidia(gpu) and intel(proc), but open for suggestion. Budget around 1.5k to 2k. Including monitor and gaming keyboard tongue.gif

A 500W quality unit is more than enough...
PSU won't really gets too hot unless you have horrible air flow inside your case...
Mobo won't increase performance, but a CPU/GPU upgrade will give you a much greater increment. smile.gif

so, mobo is not a top priority lorr?

You may downgrade the monitor to 21.5" one, but probably be TN panel with around still RM400 price tag.
Spec listed is enough to handle max graphic setting at 1080p. More answers as posted above ady.

TN panel? what is that? =.="

You can check the spec on website,  only vga and dvi on mobo only if not mistaken.
The display out from mobo isn't important anymore since u get your display output from graphic car instead.
*
my fren told me that if the monitor can go HD, but our mobo dont have the HDMI,the graphic would be less quality? btw, what is that ips?

What the.. doh.gif doh.gif no need HDMI on mobo laa since you're using the GPU's..

IPS(In-Plane Switching) n TN is a panel type of a monitor.IPS is a better panel because it offers better viewing angle and best colour reproduction.. wink.gif

I am planning to build a PC that is capable to run Dota2 and PES and maybe Battlefield or COD at Ultra Setting.

Is this rig sufficient enough? Do i need to upgrade the psu to 550W? Using i5 proc? and better GC?

Need help smile.gif

Looks good, but I would advise to upgrade the GC to at least a GTX 650 Ti Boost or HD 7850, around RM599 each. PSU is sufficient.
*
Do i need to upgrade the proc? go to i5? or i3 is sufficient? 500w psu not hot? my friend experienced the psu get super hot. he is using sapphire 7770 oc. btw, what is the difference between gtx 650 ti boost or hd 7850? i do prefer nvidia personally. but many said, amd performance on gc quite good based and worth the price. need more calrification thumbup.gif notworthy.gif

In that case, can remove out the GC. Swap with the parts below:

Gigabyte Powerock 420W PSU - RM95
Plextor M5S 128GB SSD - RM349
WD Caviar Red 2TB HDD - RM349

Core i3 is sufficient actually, but let's see if we can fit in an i5 in your budget (assuming it's ~ RM2.5k). Hmm, important thing is the PSU can provide sufficient power to power up the rig. A 500W is enough for your case. GTX 650 Ti Boost is on par with HD 7850.

Intel Core i5 4430 – RM569
Asrock B85M Pro4 – RM289
Corsair Value Ram 4GB DDR3 1600MHz - RM119
Leadtek GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB – RM599
FSP Hexa 500W - RM149
WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD - RM159
Cooler Master K380 Casing - RM149
Lite-On 24x DVDRW – RM59
Viewsonic VX2336S 23" IPS LED - RM479
Logitech G100s Keyboard - RM119

Total - RM2690 (prices are from Viewnet)

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/dota-2...ark,3481-6.html

This is a link of benchmark for graphic cards to run dota at ultra settings.

HD7850 110fps compared to GTX650 TI Boost only 80fps brows.gif

But for battlefield , GTX650 TI Boost wins, and overall performance they say GTX650 TI Boost packs a punch and have only slightly edge over HD7850.

So, ALL Sifus, give me your vote. GTX 650 TI Boost or, HD7850?

Which one is more value for money? HD7850 is cheaper? icon_question.gif

Normally at or above 60fps u won't notice the differences since smooth gameplay is achieved.
In overall performance and price tag, they are almost the same.
Just pick the one as u preferred or familiar with.
*
I kinda like Nvidia bcz my fren said it is suitable when you pick Intel proc. Is that true? If it isnt, I will choose HD7850 thumbup.gif

You can try asking Idealtech to see if they will give it or not
