Sorry to interrupt. But uh, that actually looks like a decent build. Is it possible to go i3 instead of i5 tho? Like i3 3220 or 3210
*
Possible, at the same time mobo need to change also to meet the socket 1155 from i3 3220.

HD video editing should have good CPU?
It should be easy to upgrade so it can last me 3+ years if it is worth to do it. How long can I continue upgrading untill it becomes not worth upgrading?
I would like to have some touch device included to aid in drawing e.g.drawing tablet

Intel Xeon E3 1230v2 RM759

2x Dell 21.5" Monitor S2240L led ips RM978
Total RM3576

Yes, better CPU will be preferable for better processing speed in the software u used.

Hard to say about upgrade options since it mostly depend on budget later on. Based on the spec suggested, next upgrade option will probably be SSD/RAM for your intensive usage of those programs.
Upgrade options are always subjective too, which more likely depend on personal usage.

Most of the time ppl will stop upgrading when the existing spec are old/slow when compared to latest ones.

You suggested Xenon - whats the difference between this and say a i7 ?
p.s. I know Haswell is newer than Ivybridge so is there any Haswell for Xenon?
*
The suggested xeon above has almost the same spec/performance as i7, but lacking of intel quick sync, igp features. For more info, u can google both of them to see the comparisons in detail.
Yes, there's Haswell platform Xeon processor. http://ark.intel.com/products/75054/

HD2500 from i3 still sufficient imo, cabal isnt very graphic intensive like latest games.
Unless you are having mvm fights or lot of players spamming skills at same time then it might be diff story.
I would prefer getting a better processor first and add a dedicated gpu later on when have the budget.

does crossfire 2x7790 has better performance than Leadtek GTX 760 (RM900)?
*
I don't think it will, cfx 7770 only gains 38% more. And I would say more or less the same situation as 7790 cfx with around 40% gain in performance.
A single high end card is always more ideal choice as you most likely don't suffer any incompatibility/sluterring results from sli/cfx.
Besides, you will always need mobo that support proper cfx setup that will cost more if u dun have one.

Overall looks ok, the GPU u can opt for the best from nVidia is only LEADTEK GTX650TI RM449. Regarding 7790 vs 650 ti, either one of them can max dota2 setting at 1080p. If u do plan to play other games later on, better pick 7790 that offer slightly better performance.

Mobo either one will do, I believe asrock is slightly cheaper if i;m not mistaken.
HDD can reuse as long as it is still working/good condition.

Bro hmwgbworld,
can i know why u recommend Z87 and not H87 board?
because im also trying to suggest a rig to my friend but still not very sure if should go with h87 performance from asrock *tried google and people suggest this* or should go with entry level z87 like g41
But i do know H87 for no sli no oc
*
Because the lowest price from MSI for Z87 is only RM399, which is only slightly higher than other brand H87 mobo. And somehow the person who request for recommendation has the budget to spare, so why not as it has more sata3 ports, support proper oc-ing and other features.

I just want to see if there are alternatives such as ATI and AMD?

Also is there any point of having a mITX Bitfenix Prodigy build with similar specs suggested? What are the compromises and changes? Just leave out the 2 monitors from the price of 3.5k I probably get I and use the old monitor as the second.
*
If I'm not mistaken, there's only ITX mobo available for AMD FM2 socket, AM3+ socket for ITX not available.
Despite of that, Xeon perform similar to an i7 with cheaper price. And i7 outperform FX series(not include the new ones) from AMD in most aspects.

Prodigy is quite a big ITX case, but it does allow a lot feature/things to fit in nicely if u do desire so. For ITX build, u just need to top up a little for an ITX mobo.
Perhaps u may also consider some small mATX chasis such Silverstone PS07 RM3XX or Silverstone TJ08 RM3XX and Silverstone SG09 RM3XX.

What specs do you recommend for use of Adobe suite like Photoshop and After Effects? I also want to play current and upcomming games like GTAV if it comes out. My budget is not more than 3K + monitor will become 3.5K

Previous recommendation was quite expensive ad almost 4K

Good CPU for video editing Xenon V3? / i7? Xenon uses different socket to i7 right? so what would happen if I upgrade few years later if needed?

How many years before such specs becomes outdated? 5 years? My current PC is Core 2 Duo 1.8ghz cheapo graphics nvidia 210 and 2gb ram

8GB ram
cannot decide what graphic card to choose

edit:
this kind of price and specs is what I want but im worried on ram and CPU is not enough
*
I would recommend Intel Xeon, u will gain the benefit from it as if u work on those software frequently.
Simply downgrade the GPU to something like Leadtek GTX650 ti boost will have another RM200 for Xeon CPU.
Personally would place working as priority than gaming.

RAM u can stay with 8gb first and upgrade accordingly to your later needs.

There's no guarantee on how many years specs will be outdated. Most of the time after about 2-3 years i suppose, for those main components like CPU/GPU.

Zotac GTX760 @ RM799

MSI Z87-G45 Gaming @ RM589

Good enough? Power supply is ok?

Downgrade the mobo to something like Z77 G41, could save u at least RM150. Use this budget to get better PSU & monitor instead.

Should be Z87 G41 something like like that, sorry mistake.
In that case, u can consider the suggestion in above post, l;ike Superflower 500W 80+ gold PSU, RM249 if nt mistaken.

Hello sifus,

Im trying to get these following build up. Does it look fine to you? I would like to reduce the price slightly more, can you suggest anything?

i5 4670K RM 720
MSI Z87-G41 RM 399
Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz CL.9 pair RM 318
Crucial M4 128GB SSD RM 335
WD Black 1TB RM 255
Corsair VS 550W PSU RM 190
Corsair Carbide 200R Case RM 244

Monitor HP W1972A x2 RM 259 x2
GPU MSI HD 7850 Power Edition OC RM 630

I plan on overclocking. With Jayacom price list, it all total to RM3600. sad.gif I was planning on keeping it below 3K

And also I need an aftermarket cooler for the CPU. Any suggestion? Roughly 100 to 200 price range?

I use it mainly for Photoshop and Adobe Premier work. But i also plan on using this to play BF4 and COD Ghost. Is it viable or overkill?
*
Budget cut on fancy / unnecessary items is the way to go to keep your budget aligned.

Get value rams can save u RM100, add RM29 for Crucial M500 with better performance, M4 is older batch and kinda no longer in production.

Swap out WD Black with WD Blue / SEagate 1TB, save u another RM50. Unless u really the 5yrs warranty from black, then get it.

Overclocking doesn't improve performance by much, I wonder why u get 2x monitor instead of single higher resolution and better color calibration monitor for your works.

Alright. I'll keep in mind the ram, ssd n hdd. Thanks

As per the monitors. I prefer to have two work screen. I need it to work on my projects. As per the OC, does going to normal i5 4670 bring much difference against 4670k stock?
*
Basiccally i5 4670 = i5 4670k stock since they both are having same clock speed.
The K variant just allow for higher overclocking potential. Regular i5 4670 also allow boost clock by adjust setting high performance in power option.
