People often ask what phone I use as my daily driver, and typically my answer varies widely. Sometimes it’s the Galaxy Note II, or iPhone 5, or very briefly the Galaxy S4. But for the better part of two months now I’ve predominantly used the HTC One, and I figured I’d share some thoughts on why the phone has remained in my pocket for so long.

When I declared the device as one of the best TechnoBuffalo has ever seen, I meant it. And I still wholeheartedly believe the One is in that special top tier reserved for only the best of the best. That’s saying a lot, too, especially when such amazing devices are constantly hitting the market. The One still manages to stand out.

It’s worth repeating how incredible the hardware is, from the metal back to the incredible screen, the One just feels good to hold and look at. Devices in the past have teetered on that enigmatic “It” feeling, that mixture of excitement and enchantment, but the HTC One arguably best symbolizes the perfect combination of software and hardware. I still get that feeling every time I take it out of my pocket, and when I pick it up in the morning.

how many dead pixels on your display? mine has one dead pixel but only noticeable if place eyes very near on a black screen so i just 'close one eye' and let it be

Mine is quite noticeable, it's one clump at the lower right of the screen.

Another update on my unit, would have been my one-week anniversary today, but until now haven't even manage to touch it again ;_;

Called the HTC Careline today again and got told there's NO UPDATE still for my phone. And they CAN'T EVEN PROVIDE ME an ETA when I can get back my phone even. Just spouted crap about procedures and they will call me when it is done.

Slowly getting mad now, already sent up there five working days and NOT even processed yet and CAN'T even give me an ETA when I can get the phone back.

oh i see. keep demanding for an immediate replacement!
