About 1 hour checking, testing here and there, my final thought is "this is a beauty". I remember while i was having my old Htc HD2, this is what i imagine and hoping what htc phone will be in future. It is really the essence of HTC at an almost perfect manner (well, still some improvement needed in finishing parts especially at the side bezel, and also camera can be higher mp, well we know htc reserve for next phone). Glad that i chosen this over S4. And hey, i doesn't feel like wanna root and use custom rom at the moment. Liking the htc sense, its just very nice, i did not wish for more at the moment. I think this has totally surpassed iphone 5... Although i need to get use to the heightened keyboard lay out, miss type many times, lol.. i will keep my ipad for the ios needs (as a mac user, having ios device do bring sone benefits), but for a phone, One is the one. Glad with my purchase.

(I know i'm a slowpoke, but just expressing my toughts) lol

I've been an enthusiast since the era of htc hd.. been updating phones upon every flagship released, be it htc, samsung, nexus, iphone.. my last android was note 2, i was still disappointed, then i tell myself to quit for a while and wait for android phone to evolve more, and stick with iphone (well its a stable platform ready to use, lol).. that was half year back since my last android update, i keep on refrain myself from getting a new one, until this One. really, its a satisfaction to me, personally.

Yeah, but i don't mind about them at the moment, thus will keep the stock for the time being.. my only interest in rooting at this point might be only to use the Titanium back up and block ads.. but, i'll let it first

I think it depends on preference.. htc one have very good build quality and design, a bunch of unique featyres, and adequate power and juice, for ne it worth the penny.. while S4 performs better in benchmark tests, also have some unique functions, but fugly and feel cheap.. for me, i choose htc one, it is the best. I've been testing and considering S4 so many times, but i insists it could be better, so i passed. As always, sansung's phone usually looks like a "rushing" production, or korean are simply low taste in tern of quality... Oh wait, they like plastic surgery, thus for them plastic is precious, thus their phone are made of plastics... Lol jk

Oh also dont forget about other factor that consumer might be attracted to, such as customer service and support after sell

How do i set so that the phone will auto off and the auto on? I want my phone auto off at 1am and auto on 5am.. couldn't find the setting..

found another app that can perform auto on and off, but it need root.. Tasker need root or not? my phone is not rooted

did you heard if any report of the gap widen if the phone fell/knocked? i might be not checking/noticed the gap when it was out of box, but i dropped it once at lap height, than i see minor gap.. (not sure if it was there before ), will it get wider by time after knock and wear tears? any idea?

this is my personal opinion.. think it like buying a car; Bentley and Ferrari (or any other sport car) are expensive cars.. design wise Bentley are more to a luxurious car, so normally old-rich people prefer it, for sport car, they are SEXY and that how i define HTC One (while S4 is the Bentley, ugly or not, its still a beast). so which one do you prefer?

Music on htc one is surprisingly quite good, eventho im on non-audiophile headset.. anyone hv any idea what dac it using? Or its just due to the beats enhancement software? But last time on older htc model with beats as well its not this good.. any audiophile here?

i see... was expecting Wolfson lol... the sound is not bad, really.. maybe its just me ears, but instruments separation and soundstage are good..
