QUOTE(izputra @ Jun 30 2013, 02:00 PM) Not really, KIA has bad record in the past so it is not weird if people worry on it.Other manufacturer keep the record good therefore no worry. Anyhow, worry is useless now but just for discussion purpose. |

QUOTE(suai @ Jun 30 2013, 02:49 PM) Not really, KIA has bad record in the past so it is not weird if people worry on it. In the past, NAZA did not manufacture KIA car here. So most (if not all) spare parts came imported from its country origin in which i have to agree that spare parts availability & cost is in jeopardy.Other manufacturer keep the record good therefore no worry. Anyhow, worry is useless now but just for discussion purpose. Since that NAZA CKDed the Forte here in Malaysia, i believe that most of the spare parts should be easily available here in years to come |

QUOTE(westcoastbay @ Jun 30 2013, 02:54 PM) Not worth i believe though for the 4-speeder (especially becoz of the much higher price of the K3)..will dump for the next gen K5 perhaps. Better upgrading to the D-segment instead of switching to another C-segment car Price difference between the 2.0 K5 & K3 is about 25k now. For me, i would go for K5 anytime..hehe This post has been edited by izputra: Jun 30 2013, 04:09 PM |

QUOTE(suai @ Jun 30 2013, 02:49 PM) Not really, KIA has bad record in the past so it is not weird if people worry on it. I believe K3 Cerato still will have some parts same as current Forte. This happened everywhere. The Samsung LCD/LED overtook Panasonic / National TV 7 or 8 years ago, the Samsung, HTC, iPhone mobile phone overtook the Nokia, Sony Erricson as well. Other manufacturer keep the record good therefore no worry. Anyhow, worry is useless now but just for discussion purpose. Therefore doesn't mean today you own something big in quantity you will not have problem in next 5-10 yrs down the road. The Forte still have 5 yrs warranty. Do you think KIA stupid enough to create spare parts totally new for K3 Cerato? All spare parts will be share share use by different model. This is nature of business. |

I suppose CKD for Naza Forte here mainly refer to assembly and some of the minor components. How much it would help still is unknown.
