What I can tell you is this is the Best 7 to 8 inch android tablet available now. Actually no need to even test it. Only weakness it does not have external sdcard support. Root it n use stickmount app n a usb otg cable will overcome this deficiency

If your are saying LTE, there is no provider that has come out with any prepaid package yet.
3G yes, can check out all providers' sites.

Hey Nexus 7 owners!

Can anyone tell me how the Nexus7 performs while watching video? For example on YouTube, will there be a lot of black spaces or is the vid filled up completely? The same applies to when watching downloaded vids.
Thanks. biggrin.gif

Hi,
can i know where u purchased n how much?

Hi I 'accidentally' bought N7 at Hotspot lowyat while 'jalan2' there to survey Ipad Mini and Note 8, but at Hotspot is RRP price, no discount. Standard 1 year warranty with ASUS. (I'm not sure if can bargain there since I didn't try at all. Too lazy and no mood to main pujuk2 that day.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bought along the screen protector and ask the guys to pasang after finished checking the device condition, and also a red casing which physically looks like this ipmart case at RM35, and it has sleep-wake function included. I'm satisfied with the case quality and neat build for its' price. There are also black and royal blue casings all at the same price, but the blue one has different design which I found less neat and not fond of.
This casing will do fine for me until more designs coming out later with cheaper prices(hopefully! wink.gif )
I forgot that need to potong my data simcard first to microsim and Hotspot doesn't provide the service, but thankfully someone else help me potong right away biggrin.gif
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So far I'm happy with with my N7. I have been searching for a tablet for quite a long time and N7 met my top requirements:
1) Small and slim enough to fit in my handbag, but big enough for comfortable internet browsing(I often travel out of KL to my hometown, lazy to bring netbook, iphone not enuff hur hur)
2) Lightweight
3) Fast in internet surfing or whatever apps using mobile internet
4) Pretty and comfortable looking screen image quality
5) Affordable and worth the price for qualities above (My budget was <RM1400. I was actually planning to buy either Note 8 or Ipad Mini).

Sound and video quality is decent. Camera so-so, but the self-shot from the front camera actually not that bad.

The downside of N7 such as no extended memory support, no voice calls and lousy camera I don't care much because I mainly want to use the tablet as mobile internet device whistling.gif . I have another device that I utilized as a phone+camera whistling.gif

Nexus 7 II LTE is a great device. I wanted it long time ago but it wasn't released that time... By the time it was released, it came at the same time as Note 3. Since I will need additional phone that supports calls and etc. when I'm in overseas assignment soon, I bought Note 3 instead.

It is a good piece of device and will not hesitate to recommend anyone who is looking for a tablet to go for Nexus 7 2013. Extremely well-worth for the money spent.

I am using this app to enable smart wake via light sensor. Recommend by forummers from note3 tread. Quite responsive throughout my 1st day usage.

Thanks for the tip. I am using it for my slip-in pouch. Seems to be working fine so far. Slip tablet it, screen off/lock. Take tablet out, screen on (I kept the manual unlock for now).

Update: Ooopss.. as I set my actual screen brightness to be on auto as well, it seems that every time the light sensor does its work by auto adjusting the brightness, it will trigger Automaton and the screen will switch off and immediately switch on again. And if I was too fast in unlocking the screen, it will be become locked again. Initial observation. Gotta test further and see.

Update 2: OK, looks like this app is unusable if you wanna use the light sensor for the app and yet wanna use the tablet on auto brightness as well.

yes, can't agree more. Got a wifi version from US bulk in garage during the launch and just got another local set with LTE last week. Has been using the LTE version naked with just simple leather sleeve for the past few days. It is really slim and light. Using it to surf and youtube more than my Note 3. thumbup.gif

Maxis just activated my secondary sim under the Share n Surf plan i applied last Thursday, super long time taken - full 4 days of waiting. shakehead.gif

I face this issue earlier. Disabled the auto screen off and everything will work again.

To compensate the auto screen off, I use another app to set up 1 touch screen off widget.
