QUOTE(SpringBiscuit @ Dec 10 2018, 02:50 PM) i was thinking about PSvr as well, however added in headset, camera plus 2 controller, it is RM1600, while i can get vive or oculus around RM2000. From what i know PSvr game is much expensive comparing like SteamVR with constant discount. Furthermore the headset and controller tracking seem much better for vive and OR. You think PSN store no sale? I bought most of my games at 50-60% off. Yeah better tracking but not better games.

QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Dec 10 2018, 04:43 PM) easy question to ask yourself, are u more of a console gamer or PC gamer? Don't think about VR, just think now, without VR, which one u spend more time with. This is true. Which platform do you prefer the most to play on and etc.

Just waiting for a new Oculus or Vive. Satisfied with my PSVR for now, with the amount of exclusive games and waifu games it has on PSN lol. Also I'm only mostly just gonna play Beat Saber anyway

QUOTE(polarzbearz @ Dec 26 2018, 09:44 PM) Planning to get myself into VR games, but thinking between the HTC Vive and oculus rift. Is vive worth the extra buck for laser sensors, compatibility for accessories upgrade, and local warranty? This is all depending on your preference in general. Do you wear spectacles or not, the comfort level, which do you think is right for your head and all that. I think Oculus or Vive, you can go with any. But which one do you prefer the most? Both have their own pros and cons. Definitely go and test both first, and then decide for yourself. Vive has local warranty now as well if you're into that, since it's official here now.

QUOTE(Mr.PeeNutt @ Jan 9 2019, 03:55 PM) quite interested with Cosmos..the controller almost same like the Quest. From what i know it can connect both on pc and phone by using a single USB-C cable Yeah works on both, the only thing idk is the specs, price and etc. Depending on this, might actually grab one.

QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Jan 12 2019, 08:19 AM) Just a thought, many wish for tetherless VR HMD but powered by PC for best graphic. This means signal between HMD and PC need to be transferred wirelessly. But are we really ok to have wireless device receiving and transmitting signal attached directly on our head? Imagine all that wireless frequencies in contact with our head/brain. If you're not okay with it, just go with the one's that has wires la.

QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Jan 12 2019, 12:33 PM) haha no no, just that it suddenly came to my mind. So just wanna bring up for discussion, wondering did anyone else thought about this risk and are we gonna be ok with it. I'd say the risk isn't that much I guess. Most are already using wifi, cellular data and what not. All form of radio waves. Even if you try to avoid it, sorta impossible now. Even the Sun has this waves. But I get your concerns.

QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Jan 12 2019, 12:48 PM) Yup true but atleast we don't stick our phones directly to our head for hours. For VR, its gonna be attached to our head for hours, assuming we play for hours. Have you check any feedback on those who uses the wireless receiver like tpcast? If they have any sort of headache and etc. Just search on that if you're worried. TPcast for example uses 60GHz wireless signal, seems like a lot, but it's not really of any big concerns. This waves can't even penetrate our skin, if you're that worried. There is studies on this, and yes there is a lot of concerns about health risk, but as far as I know, you shouldn't be worried about it. It's passed by FCC, and even strict rules from EU also passed it, and declared it safe to be used.

QUOTE(Mr.PeeNutt @ Jan 14 2019, 10:41 AM) my latest VR painting on Oculus Quill : one of the main reason i might grab Oculus Quest is Quill will be port on it..now i can paint in VR everywhere Oh that's really nice Next time if I get Oculus, I could try this out. On PSVR there is CoolPaintrVR for this sort of things. I should probably try it out.

QUOTE(ssxxcool @ Jan 21 2019, 04:56 AM) yeah im familiar since i frequently shop in amazon other wmr that im eyeing for is samsung odyssey+ but of course thats way past my budget. actually i think its more prudent to wait at least until valve releases their on hmd. right now i think i'll settle with samsung gear vr for my note9 lol Wait, because that's what I'm doing atm. Until there is a new Vive or Rift. That isn't Quest, Pro, Pro Eye, Cosmos, Focus or any kinda of this Will definitely jump the gun for a Rift 2 or Vive 2, or whatever it's called For now happy with my PSVR, budget friendly solution.

QUOTE(ssxxcool @ Jan 21 2019, 01:20 PM) Just now went 2 place to buy gear vr, all out of stock Then I called several Samsung store, samsung the garden said dont buy because new gear VR will launch soon with s10 lol. Guess I'm back to waiting. Not sure why you want those. You can just get a cheap vr box that cost way way less with controller. Also those are meh VR experience. Mobile VR aren't the same like a Vive, PSVR or Rift. The difference is night and day, quality wise, immersion and etc.

VR not failing, more like still early phase only. When it gets cheaper and more affordable then only this doubter will regret what they said later on.
Really expensive when you think about it. Cheapest option that isn't mobile vr would be PSVR. That also still around 3k. PC lagi la, 5k or more I guess for optimal expereince.
I'm kinda glad AR still not pushed early like VR at least. Tech is already used everywhere but still just baby phase for now. Personally can't wait to see when both AR ans VR will be mainstream. Hope I live to see it haha

QUOTE(Mr.PeeNutt @ Jan 22 2019, 12:35 PM) Your PC specs also damn good but without any pc vr heaset also rugi Too late to jump for Oculus or Vive now. I wasn't much of a believer in VR until someone gave me a PSVR for my birthday. Then I was blown away:hehe: Like almost 3 years too late. Now I'm just waiting for a Rift 2 or Vive 2 to buy. Day one purchase when it's out.

QUOTE(Mr.PeeNutt @ Jan 22 2019, 02:35 PM) ok la can save RM100 per month from now..Rift 2 will come out in 2021/2022 All good with my PSVR for now. Also need to consider a PSVR 2 when PS5 comes out 2020/2021 for the exclusive It's also not like I play a lot of VR games atm, mostly just Beat Saber. Still hoping for most HMD to be wireless at some point. If not i'm getting the damn wireless adapter.
