I first thought MR was FB worthy but after trying for the second time, I've changed my mind. It's RM700 for a 100ml (shipped) from Essenza, I would rather get Meharees.

Opening is little sharp and once it calms down, it's a nice smooth sweet vanilla over burning woods. Moderate projection and longevity on my skin. Good staying power on clothes but it stains.

SOTD/N - Dior Homme
After trying my sample of Bois d`Iris by Van Cleef & Arpels yesterday I'm craving for orris root today.

I got an email from the Dior boutique, informing me that the new Cuir Cannage prive fragrance will be available in June.
The price of the prive is going up again from 170 to 190 dollars for the 100 ml. For the 250 ml bottles the price is going up from 270 to 295.

Here is the note description for Cuir Cannage:

Cuir Cannage notes : Leather accord that runs throughtout the fragrance and is initially freshened by notes of orange blossom, and softened by floral notes of rose, jasmin, and iris.

LOL! So many other leathers I haven't tried yet! I will def add this to my long list of must try!!!
SOTN: Guerlain Vetiver. Edward, was it you who said this smells like an old gentleman? I really love it! It's a clean and fresh Vetiver that can do no wrong. One day I will hunt down the vintage version!!! I must compare with Encre Noire because it seems similar but I enjoy this so much more!!! I love Vetiver!!!

SOTD - Wazamba by Parfum d`Empire (sample)
Opening is a little sharp with very nice resinous labdanum/amber but soon overpowers by smoky cypress+apple then dries down to Church incense. It's unique but a bit odd for my taste. It has moderate projection and good longevity on my skin.

Curious! Which Guerlain is in the bee bottle and the other 2 Guerlains are? Do you have the older Guerlain Vetiver Joey? Before the silver cap?

Ahhh, ok ok, never paid attention to the citrus/tobacco... will keep my nose tuned in to those next time... I see the 'vintage' edc selling for crazy prices on ebay... but so curious about how it actually smells 20 years ago!

Cuir Cannage opens with the rootiest iris (akin to Iris Silver Mist) & starkest leather note (akin to Peau d'Espagne or a matured Cuir de Russe).

That orgy scene was so unexpected, and the last scene too getting a cringe just thinking bout it now.

well that actually is still imaginable, as it is a story of a murderer and i mean it make perfect sense to create a scent that nobody ever created, it just show how twisted a mind of a psychopath is in achieving something other's haven't before, still within the boundaries of my logical thoughts at least, but i mean the effect of the scent is ridiculous, up until that orgy part i thought it was a pretty legit movie, after that it sorta goes to fairy tale mode as far as i'm concern.

(p.s I have a mild suspicion that you can never really replicate the scent's from tat movie  )
