QUOTE(Superman7 @ May 12 2013, 11:49 PM) 2 possibilities . Firstly , it means u didnt manage to flash in TWRP .... If u did , it wouldnt be 3d recovery . 2ndly , try not 2 let your hp bootup after u flash TWRP , boot it back to TWRP or stock recovery will normally replace it again after u reboot without entering TWRP first . What i normally do is I pull out the battery once I c the Samsung n7100 logo , wait 5 sec , put the battery back in and use the 3 button combo like u mentioned to boot into recovery . This only happen once , right after u flash . After that , it will be TWRP every time u reboot into recovery . |

Just force it reboot to recovery again after finishing the TWRP installation. Performing TWRP backup now. 3GB+ This post has been edited by Superman7: May 13 2013, 12:06 AM |

QUOTE(Superman7 @ May 12 2013, 11:49 PM) stupid question, how do I boot to TWRP? You use what way to flash bro...Odin or MobileOdin..?Vol Up + Home + ON brings me to 3e Recovery Think I might have not installed TWRP properly with MOP. Just to check, all I need to do is to "Open File" in MOP and select the .zip file correct? MobileOdin use .tar files same with Odin. |

QUOTE(Superman7 @ May 13 2013, 12:16 AM) MOP supports zip file mar.. The MOP zip is not your CWM zip !!!! MOP zip is only the special type called "Update.zip". Otherwise you need the TAR or TAR.MD5 I think. Is the TWRP backup the same as Nandroid ? I thought Nandroid is only for CWM I could be wrong but I screwed myself before by flashing a zip ROM via MOP |

btw, is it possible for the TWRP to recognize external SD card?
I did the backup and it is stored in the internal memory. Would like to move the entire TWRP folder to the SD card |

QUOTE(joytest @ May 13 2013, 12:40 AM) I know you were flashing TWRP. I meant that MOP does (did??) not recognize the flashable zips (usually referred to as CWM zip) but it will still flash them anyway, probably with unpredictable results. Not sure. I managed to flash. Not too sure what happens. It could be that current versions can actually flash CWM zips properly? Will try to reboot to TWRP recovery again to see if it works. Update: Rebooting to TWRP recovery works. No issue This post has been edited by Superman7: May 13 2013, 12:43 AM |

QUOTE(Superman7 @ May 13 2013, 12:58 AM) Thanks bro. But note that as of about 8pm last night, the survey form for some strange reason stopped passing entries to the response sheet. Won't affect your flashing activities anyway.I've got to spend a bit of time trying to fix or re-do the survey form. |

QUOTE(andrewtho @ May 12 2013, 10:33 PM) I second that. I firstly beg to differ on @joytest's statement about anything smaller than Note 2 is puny but then again it is just one's opinion. Your statement therefore I shall take with a pinch of salt as again, it is merely your opinion. No excuse is needed as by and large the consumer public does find it a wee bit big. However, it is a very good phone nonetheless.People who complain/whine about the Note 2 being 'huge' are just finding excuses for themselves |

Your statement therefore I shall take with a pinch of salt as again, it is merely your opinion. No excuse is needed as by and large the consumer public does find it a wee bit big. However, it is a very good phone nonetheless. 5 inch phones are considered as 'standard' already, an additional of 0.5 inch doesnt hurt. In fact, if one is used to a big phone, it is quite natural to see them having tough time to go back to smaller screens. So if a person is used to having a 4 inch screen, definitely they will have different view as well. Then again, by calling the phone big and more suitable for the females, that is utter nonsense dont you think? One man's meat is another man's poison. So basically if someone is using that as a reason to the phone's size, that is an excuse. |
