Checked the first page but couldn't find a statement saying if the new bootloader is possible to be rooted directly via PC Odin.
I know in the past, the bootloader needed to be downgraded . Not too sure after so long if there is already a possibility to root directly with the latest bootloader.

Thanks.

Can, use CF Root method ( use Odin in PC ) but no Recovery. After root use Mobile odin to flash TWRP

Ohh.. that means now new bootloader can liau.
no need to downgrade anymore. That's great news.

Saw some comments saying that TWRP is much better than CWM.
After 5 months, suddenly I feel like coming back to the old habit of ROM flashing again laugh.gif

Everyone has been flashing left, right and center. No reports of issues with the new bootloader so far.

Unlike what I was just reading about the Verizon Note2 bootloader which is a cat and mouse game between the xda devs and the OTA updates that re-lock it.

Do look forward to seeing your entries in the survey:)

I'm out of this forum for far too long. sweat.gif
I remember when I first got the Note2, if you had accidentally updated the ROM (official), the new bootloader would be loaded. It is needed to downgrade before it is possible to root or something like that. Remember seeing some pictures showing the old and new bootloader on the boot-up screen.

Too much hassle therefore decided not to root. The other reason was the official ROM itself was already very good laugh.gif

I second that.

People who complain/whine about the Note 2 being 'huge' are just finding excuses for themselves tongue.gif

I don't really own note 2,just my parents own,I like the battery life, but for size I think for myself nexus 4 size can fit 1 hand operation and type with one hand,I can't do that with note 2,if you said iPhone 5,I would say its too small for me

But a few have done it on S3.
The apk can root up to 4.1.2 firmware(at this moment) for various Samsung phones and tablets.

Yeah man when I got the Note1 it felt a little awkward the first few days. No regrets after that. Best thing for browsing.

I think this is in post 7. On mobile hard to check tongue.gif
