I think those were sent in to settle the noise problems, not gearbox issue. But then again, I could be wrong.

My wife's Polo Sedan is reaching the 15k mark soon. Time for 1st service.

Can anybody advise what is the recommended pricing to pay for the service? Don't wanna get ripped off

From this thread and its previous predecessors... I only know that stuff like the motor oil, oil filter, air filter, and some other stuff needs to be changed during this 1st service.

I also read that the SC at OKR is not bad, though we got our unit at Glenmarie - can anybody share their experience on SC?

if 2.0 might as well go check mudah for grey import/recon unreg, about 160k
1.4 gearbox not reliable despite what the salesman says

u lose the warranty if you buy the grey import or unreg recond...
my friend's GTI turbo lost the compression & cost almost RM30k to repair, luckily his car under 5 yrs warranty.

This might not be much but owned Jetta for 2months already. Milage clocked 3,500km. Been averaging FC at 9.0l/100km (based on 5 reading calculated manually). Penang driving (50% city 50%highway) with aggresive driving style whenever felt want to push the car (130km/h to 195km/h). Full tank clocking 580km.
Very satisfied with it..the power it gave, spirited driving it gave & the FC i'm getting. cool2.gif
