better to wait for Performance Pack,
mechanical LSD does have some difference
and bigger brakes too

same story like mk6 GTI,
first few batch only 17" wheels, no sunroof, no DRL headlamp & rcd310
the SE version came in later with 18" wheels, sunroof, DRL headlamps & RCD510
*
bro.. SE version come starting 2010 or 2011?

mk6 GTI SE version should be 2011,
actually most of options is already available during launch of mk6 GTI

it's just that our local VGM didn't bother to bring those "options" in
mk7 gti same story again la

if you see the picture below, u can customize a lot

I' m a bit puzzled as to why they didn't bring the PP straight away, dunno whether cost factor or techinal (reliability concern ?) or what.

Most review said PP pack absolutely worth it for the price diff , n potential buyer would hv gone thru the review . And if certain local website r right in saying they bringing it later it will just kill sales of standard Gti.

I went to test drive the Golf GTI last Friday and the SA offered me a discount already, which is fast for a car that's just come out! Around RM5k off for the 19" wheels and also something similar for the 18". I wasn't paying attention as I was busy attacking the curves on Jln Jelutong. tongue.gif

I must say that though the car corners on rails, the steering feels a bit light and more feel would have been welcome.

Hi ,
I recently got my Volkswagen Polo .
However , out of 4 refuels , 1 full tank could only travel me 300-400km .
Which equivalents to > 10L/100KM .
Is there any tips to save fuel ? I heard the Polo TSI is a very fuel economy car ?

It is a new unit right? FC is usually high for a new vehicle, wait until fully run-in first...

I wonder if the discount is due to GTI fans all waiting for the performance pack and they need to clear stock urgently to make way for it. VW Malaysia may have made a marketing mistake in not bringing the PP in for the launch.

Not sure if this is the right place to post, anyway...

Dear all, im MengQ.

Not a VW Polo owner, yet. Your honest answer to this question will pretty much decide if i will be an owner or not.

I've recently spotted this used 2 door Polo GTi, year 2011 November. Clocked only 19,000km++, at a used car dealer in Bukit Jalil. Dealer claims still under warranty, i doubt that, due to the D2 8pot brake calipers and Milltek exhaust modifications done.

Attached link below is the exact unit i've been craving for.

http://www.carlist.my/used-cars/1186432/20...ltek-specs.html

I've been thinking of this for almost a week if i should get it. I've heard too many different stories (mostly are negative) and a search on the web, the Polo GTi seems to have a lot of 'lemon cases'. The VW SC guys told me the reliability "it's a matter of time". My friend who is driving a VW Golf GTi MK6 told me the same thing as well and 'wish me good luck' if im to get this used Polo.

I really hope to hear honest answers/advice from you guys.

Is this car really problematic? What are possibilities and what sort of issues i should look out for? The only reason i wish to buy this car is to have fun and not having the extra headache and burden to fix issues.

Thank you so much for your advice and feedbacks, really appreciate it.

damn, seems like I am not being honest to you by saying "good luck"

Nothing wrong with Nexen at the given price.

IMHO, pay more to get better quality stuff, there are a lot of better options but at higher price.
